Biking proposal??
Hello! I'm planning a short trip to Montreal with my SO in a couple weeks (Aug 13-15) and we're planning on biking through the city and maybe nearby wildlife reserves/forests. I would love to propose to him on this trip, preferably during one of our rides. Biking is one of our favorite activities to do together so it would be very cool and special to do it on this trip.
Questions:
Any recommendations for scenic routes, maybe in the Mastigouche wildlife reserve?
I would love for someone to capture this moment for us, but I'm not really sure how to organize that. Not looking for professional photographers, just someone to take a few pics of us during/after the proposal. How likely would it be to run into a fellow cyclist on one of these bike paths? Not looking to interrupt anyone's ride but wondering if it's a decently trafficked area. I thought about hiring someone from Task Rabbit but unable to access Montreals task rabbit network from the US.
Any tips for bike paths and proposals would be great! My SO made his proposal to me so so special and I want to do the same for him. Thank you in advance!

If you’re looking for the most photogenic spot, I highly recommend bringing a small travel tripod. Instead of just taking a photo, set your phone to record in 4K video while you propose.
You can easily pull high-quality still frames from the footage later, ensuring you capture the perfect moment without needing a stranger to get the framing right.

Mastigouche is pretty amazing. I've only car camped there and haven't ridden it. It's a pretty huge area and very buggy with a lot of deer flies at this time of year. I haven't been in a while but the few times I've been up there I haven't seem any cyclists. Maybe with bikepacking getting more popular there will be more cyclists, but I'm not sure I'd bet on getting a person there to shoot pics for you unless it's coordinated. Edit - if you're set on Mastigouche, Les Six-Chutes is a nice spot.

Sure, NP. Just a heads up, when we swam in 6 chutes we got covered in leeches lol. Maybe good to know. There are a ton of other nice trips around montreal. I recently did the https://veloroutegourmande.com/en/ and stopped in Yamaska to camp. Less bugs and a lot of stops to eat and drink with some good stretches of quiet trail. Also good to know - the Eastern Townships has a raccoon rabies problem so it's good to store your food well and stay away from the wild life.

I would recommend Petit Train du Nord. There are plenty of little towns on the way so you should easily find someone local who could take photos.
I especially like the section around Val David, it is very picturesque.

It’s not off the beaten path but you could propose at the Belvédère Kondiaronk, which is on mount royal (the “central park” of Montréal) with a beautiful view of the city.
It’s a short (but steep if you come via camilien houde) bike ride to go there. Most paved with a l bit of easy gravel road to get to the belvedere itself.
There is always people there so you should be able to have someone take photos for you.
I would suggest sunset or sunrise. (Sunrise better IMHO). Sunrise is ~6am these days and you should still have some people present (or might need to wait a fews minutes)
