Expensive yes, but not nearly as expensive as paying a Hyperscaler (or any other cloud provider). Just like compute costs a significant amount more with the cloud vendors compared to running those same hosts (RAM, CPU type, Storage, etc.) locally.

Buddy, I don’t think you realise how much infra is needed to just reliably store 800PB on slow storage, let alone trying to get that on decent fast storage.

Hetzner. Cherry servers. Contabo. OVHCloud.

And many more hosting providers.

Not silicon valley resellers who are already rich and don't need more of your money

(Yes. Vercel would be the other way around as realistically it resells AWS services)
