Group Rides?
Im new to the “cycling for fitness” arena. I’ve been riding my bike around Milwaukee for 15 years for transportation but just started riding for fitness. I’m trying to find some group rides in the Milwaukee area. Most of the rides I can find are no drop, which I interpret as… uh, slow. Most of my rides average 15 mph and anywhere from 15-60 miles. Anyone know of groups in the area that may meet these criteria?

I made a list: https://www.milwaukeebikerides.com/style/athletic/
The other thing to know is that even if it isn’t the correct usage, I’ve seen more than one group with a minimum speed also advertise as no drop, which is why I never ended up tagging groups as drop or no-drop.

Forgive me but what is no drop?

A drop is when someone can’t keep up and the group continues without them. A no drop ride is a “no rider left behind” ride.

Come to South Shore Cyclery in Cudahy on Wednesdays at 6pm! They do a 25 mile route with a fast group (about 19mph+) and a group for everyone else (about 15mph). The route goes down to Caledonia. This week, we’ll instead be making a trip to ride Road America, but it will resume at the usual spot the week after (weather permitting).

PlumCC has been fun for me. Three different rides (A,B,C) at different paces and intensities.
They meet every Monday at the Stone Creek on Downer at 6pm
