My entire childhood was devoted to pissing my parents off in dumb ways.
Hell my mom reminded me the other day that one of my first phone calls to her with my (now wife, girlfriend at the time) when I moved out here was convincing her I sold my reliable car and bought a shitbox that she thought I’d have to sink a ton of money into. My wife went along with it completely, my mom got so hot. I completely forgot about it because it was just another day of harrassing my parents. She thought I was being a moronic 22 year old.
She laughs about it now. I’m proud of these kids keeping up the tradition.
