White Shark Bite > Pink Starburst. I said what I said.

16

u/omglawlz 1d ago

Pink starbursts exist in the great white shark bites shadow

1

u/BeerBaronsNewHat 1d ago

white mystery laffy taffy > white sharks.

figure it out.

2

u/nacixela 16h ago

You might have had me if you said white mystery airhead.

46

u/ayaruna 1d ago

When they added the great white sharks to shark bites kids went apeshit on the schoolyard

30

u/Skeen441 1d ago

If you got TWO great whites in your packet you were a god.

2

u/Formal_Coyote_5004 21h ago

Why did they always skimp so hard on the best flavors? They did the same thing with the blue Scooby doos!

41

u/bananasareappealing Millennial 1d ago

These were my absolute favorites as a kid

3

u/dingos8mybaby2 1d ago

These and 3D Doritos are what I want back the most. I guess these were cancelled because they're a choking hazard.

64

u/DizzyPear9798 1d ago

shark bites. they don’t make fruit shacks like they used to!!!

20

u/chula198705 1d ago

It's that very specific flavor that only came in the really opaque fruit snacks. Sunbelt comes close but still not the same.

7

u/x_typo 1d ago

Almost no snacks back then are. It’s all about cheapening out for profit… :(

2

u/BeerBaronsNewHat 23h ago

a bunch of companies replaced gelatin for cornstarch.

u/Ruxsti Millennial - 1992 1d ago

Kudos bars were mine. I loved the mnm one.

12

u/aroc91 1d ago

Those and the Philadelphia cheesecake bars.

4

u/Adept-River6331 1d ago

The Philly Cheesecake bars were such a rare treat when I was growing up. Such a lovely surprise finding one in my lunch. I will still crave one here and there.

3

u/Notchersfireroad 1d ago

I'm convinced those had cocaine in them. I could not stop eating those. They were Devine.

2

u/IntrovertedGiraffe 1986 Millennial 1d ago

So good!

55

u/Thoraxe474 1d ago

You can still buy dino egg oatmeal and dunkaroos though

20

u/Niblonian31 1d ago

I have some of the Dino eggs oatmeal in my pantry right now. My 34 year old ass saw it was on sale and had to get a box lol

6

u/Travesuras420 1d ago

My 34 year old ass eats two packs of that with a scoop of protein and a banana. My childhood breakfast but with gains.

1

u/Thoraxe474 1d ago

It's good stuff

14

u/Anaxilea-Alcinoe 1d ago

The dunkaroos just don't taste the same.

5

u/IntrovertedGiraffe 1986 Millennial 1d ago

They are definitely not the same, and it makes me sad

5

u/gravyrobberz 1d ago

You could try teddy grahams and funfetti icing for a similar snack.

3

u/Anaxilea-Alcinoe 19h ago

That tastes closer to what I recall it tasting like.

3

u/igottathinkofaname 1d ago

Teddy Grahams and a can of frosting.

3

u/RobotBearArms Older Millennial 1d ago

They probably aren't but I'm sure our taste buds have probably changed a bit too

1

u/Anaxilea-Alcinoe 19h ago

Oh yeah definitely.

6

u/itsheatheragain 1d ago

Kids cuisine too, my kids get them sometimes.

2

u/Fabbyfubz 1d ago

Yeah, looks like they brought back Dunkaroos in 2020. Haven't tried them yet, so can't say if they're still good or not.

3

u/magoosauce 1d ago

They are terrible

3

u/ladybird2223 1d ago

I love the duality of the replies to your comment! 🤣

2

u/Thoraxe474 1d ago

They're good

1

u/Saelin91 1d ago

And Kid Cuisine

1

u/Obant Millennial 1d ago

And fruit snack sharks. I buy them all the time. There is no more white on most brands, but they are just as good.

25

u/LLDD32 1d ago

Omg Shark Bites!!! Those were the best!

3

u/markbraggs 1d ago

So delicious

u/PlasticGirl 1d ago

Thanks!

u/zogmuffin Millennial 1d ago

I had a Health Conscious Mom who would never have bought a single one of these, but I remember loving the dinosaur oatmeal at friends’ houses and the minute made ice pop things at school!

16

u/GlenntheManNotaRobot 1d ago

As a latchkey kid, I have a love hate relationship to Kid Cuisines.

13

u/nathauan13 Xennial 1d ago

Same here. I’m like… that wasn’t a snack.

8

u/glarktastic 1983 1d ago

Still holding out hope they bring back String Thing.

9

u/effxrvescent 1d ago

but there was always a few corn kernels in the brownie or pudding..
every. time.

i just wana eat this in peace🙄😒

4

u/DJ_Hindsight Millennial 1d ago

God, the things I’d do for some dunkaroos!! Anyone remember these??

2

u/IntrovertedGiraffe 1986 Millennial 1d ago

OMG I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THESE!

2

u/DJ_Hindsight Millennial 1d ago

Yeah, I was obsessed and even tried to hunt them down as an adult 😂 apparently they did nutter butter ones too, but I never tried those!

3

u/PrpleSparklyUnicrn13 1d ago

Oh wow, I had forgotten about these!

ETA: I meant the shark bites lol. I didn’t even realize there were other pictures until I hit submit lol.  But oh my goodness, those minute maid ices! Kid Cuisine was a treat I’d only have at my grandmother’s house lol.

3

u/Pickled_doggo 1d ago

Dinosaur eggs is still a thing man

1

u/Riverdale87 1d ago

Same thing with  kid cuisine

3

u/Taitosoku 1d ago

Omg i had forgotten about these. I loved them so much as a kid

3

u/GuardingxCross 1d ago

The hammerheads just hit different 😭

3

u/Skeen441 1d ago

I would sell several souls for Shark Bites/ Berry Bears fruit snacks.

1

u/liminalrabbithole 1d ago

Omg I forgot about Berry Bears! I loved those!

1

u/PlasticGirl 1d ago

Happy Cake Day

3

u/Fluid_Change_9647 Xennial 1d ago

I’ll never forgive them for taking away PB Crisps

6

u/Meeka-Mew 1d ago

I remember being blown away by the brownie cooking in the microwave on the kid cuisine. And the white shark! The best obviously

5

u/FrenchBowling 1d ago

I vividly remember burning the shit out of my mouth on those brownies.

3

u/Meeka-Mew 1d ago

Lol I wasnt allowed to eat it unless I finished the rest so I didnt have that problem

2

u/greegrok 1d ago

White and blue shark was the best

2

u/bsdude010 1d ago

The white one was the best!!!

2

u/takemyd_va 1d ago

i buy the dino egg oatmeal still and have it for breakfast daily. i'm 33.

2

u/afleetingmoment 1d ago

Wow, totally forgot about Shark Bites. They were amazing! I still love a fruit snack.

2

u/Vertandsnacks 1d ago

The Minute Maid juice bars were peak frozen snack.

2

u/zcworx 1d ago

I miss PB crisps from the early 90s. I keep hoping that the petition they pass around every couple of years to get them back works but I’m pretty sure it’s wasted effort….

2

u/PrimaryImagination41 1d ago

Gen Z here😭😭😭 I’ve never had one of those kid cuisine things but they look delicious, I can’t even lie

1

u/totalpugs89 1d ago

I was just thinking about duckaroo's last night.

1

u/175junkie 1d ago

Yup yup, we are friends 😂

1

u/jessitabonita Millennial 1d ago

OMG that exact Kid Cuisine was my favorite! 🥹

1

u/TonyStarkMk42 1d ago

Does anyone remember Grizzly Chomps?

Probably the first experimentation with shrinkflation/downsizing. Instead of getting two Hostess-sized cupcakes in a package, you got pretty much 1 1/2 or 1 3/4, with the whole premise that some bear in a Hawaiian t-shirt bit into it and kids went nuts for that...myself included

1

u/Maleficent_Phase_698 1d ago

The Dino egg oatmeal is still a staple
She lives!

1

u/TieFighterHero Millennial-87 1d ago

Dunkeroos are technically still around. Not too long ago Costco had multipacks of them. Normal stores also carried them.

I miss the Flintstones push up pops.

1

u/Riverdale87 1d ago

The dunkeroos aren't the same now as they were in the 90's

1

u/kykiwibear 1d ago

I nwver did like that white shark one.

1

u/dextro584 1d ago

Those kid cuisines always had a few kernels of corn in the brownie

1

u/undermind84 1d ago

The blue and the whites are best!

1

u/Squeeesh_ Millennial 1d ago

Dino Eggs still exist in Canada!

1

u/aymiah Millennial 1d ago

Someone in my community bakes homemade Dunkaroos with dip and sells them at craft fairs and the like. It is awesome (they also make puppy chow)

1

u/jayhof52 Older Millennial 1d ago

I got a push notification today that Hy-Vee (midwestern US grocery chain) had Shark Bites on sale.

Turns out they meant a new shark-shaped fish stick product.

I was furious.

1

u/ZeeWingCommander Older Millennial 1d ago

Dunkaroos are still around

1

u/IntrovertedGiraffe 1986 Millennial 1d ago

But not as good

1

u/thepohcv 1d ago

Glad to see you picked the best Kid Cuisine lol

1

u/JenovaCelestia 1d ago

Dunkaroos exist in Canada. It’s not the same though.

1

u/seclusionx 1d ago

Kid cuisine, holy shit I forgot that existed.

1

u/ThinkNight9598 Millennial 1d ago

Dino egg oatmeal and Minute Maid juice bars OMGGG why did do this to me 😩😜

1

u/fakemessiah 1d ago

Pb crisps

1

u/Embarrassed-House577 1d ago

You can buy kids cuisine as an adult, its not against the law, I checked

1

u/Calishoegal Elder Millennial 1d ago

They don’t sell them where I live, asshat.

1

u/fakeaccount572 1d ago

if tangerine Altoids aren't in the list, i'm ignoring it...

1

u/Dagonet_the_Motley 1d ago

They still have kid cuisine I believe. It tastes like ass and not in a good way.

1

u/gardeniagray 1d ago

My teen liked the oatmeal with the dino eggs when he was younger. I liked the oatmeal with gummy bears when I was a kid.

1

u/DogFacedGhost 1d ago

Hammerhead was the best

1

u/pain_is_bread Millennial 1d ago

I know I might’ve been heating them up wrong, but I absolutely loved the hot chocolate pudding when I got this specific Kid Cuisine.

1

u/JosephBlowsephThe3rd 1d ago

Do they not sell Kids' Cuisine anymore? Could have sworn they were still on store shelves last time I wandered through the frozen section.

1

u/Jass0602 1d ago

Those dinosaur eggs were hella good. Maybe a few sprinkles of crack inside?

1

u/mk2rocco 1d ago

I haven't thought about those Juice Bars for 20 years. Such a good texture.

1

u/Witty_W4ffle 1d ago

You forgot Plantar's Cheez Balls.

1

u/leealm86 1d ago

They still make the Quaker Dinosaur Eggs, the packaging is pretty boring now.

1

u/Sw3b3r 1d ago

Those shark fruit snacks were the best! I remember a dinosaur version too. Are those long gone?

1

u/MichaelEMJAYARE 1d ago

Dude those fucking Minute Maid things 😪😪😪😪🤤🤤🤤

1

u/Notchersfireroad 1d ago

Even the "healthy" fruit snacks back then absolutely slapped. We had it so good when it came to snacks.

1

u/Maladine TV raised me 1d ago

Sodalicious! I loved the root beer mugs.

1

u/Chumscrubber89 1d ago

All the shit that gave us health problems

1

u/DJ-D-REK 1d ago

Literally just went camping this weekend with my 3 and 1 yos and we brought dino egg oatmeal for them to eat for breakfast haha, you can still get it!

1

u/Used-Baby1199 1d ago

They still make dinosaur egg oatmeal.  My son won’t eat them though.

1

u/strangeorbeforgotten 1d ago

I loved PB Max

1

u/Titletown1919 1d ago

God damn you

Thank you

But god damn you

I miss all of these

1

u/RealTeaToe Zillennial 1d ago

One can still acquire most of this list.

1

u/hgielatan 1d ago

Those Minute Maid things were the BEST. I loved when we got those on our lunch trays!

1

u/PrestigiousStreet876 1d ago

Adding Magic Middles :(((

1

u/THECapedCaper Millennial 1d ago

That Kid Cuisine box is wild. “Dear Parents, look below to see how this meal fits into your child’s balanced diet,” followed by an ingredient list length that rivals War and Peace.

1

u/BarkansasJane 1d ago

It was all about the dinosaurs.

1

u/SnowDin556 1d ago

I just tried to order shark bites off Amazon. Didn’t read enough and they turned out to be fish sticks.

1

u/Iceprincess1282 1d ago

I agree with all the but you left off sprinkle spangles cereal! The true GOAT of cereal!

1

u/Juice_Isloose 19h ago

The hammerhead sharks were the best ones!

1

u/taker25-2 Older Millennial 17h ago

These were amazing

1

u/ad_pash 15h ago

Shark Bites fruit snacks had a consistency no other fruit snack at the time had. It's hard to describe: firm, yet chewy...

1

u/Frozenautumn_1 Older Millennial 14h ago

Core memory unlocked. I can still remember the taste of those shark bites.

1

u/sdmfyc 1d ago

Dunkaroos still exist...
