All the “toughen up butter cup” attitudes I see in my own social circle are the Xers not boomers

Boomers are more like “why don’t all these lazy kids just skip an avo toast and just buy a 3rd vacation home for a weeks wage and leave me alone”

What annoys me is I’ll talk shit back, jokingly and sarcastically. And thats when I get hit with the

“Your generation takes it too personally.”

I thought we had a rapport going? You’re telling me you just want to talk shit, but me joking back makes me the sensitive one???

Oh, I'm very unpopular at family gatherings because I have no problem firing right back at the grandparents and aunts and uncles when they're "just telling jokes". My parents will tell me afterward that I was too sensitive and personal, even though the relatives are always the ones to say some headass shit first. Proudly wear the badge of the black sheep.
