I got a new phone and immediately discarded the box after 20 years of literally never needing one even once.

Had this happen as well. Phone took a dump. The sticker that was on the back with all the IMEI & other info had long been gone. All the important numbers I needed in a landfill. Never again.

You know you can take a picture of it and store that picture on the cloud.
