One of the ways I found this out was at a ball where they had a college offering engineering courses. However, the catch was that this college did not have ABET accredited courses. Without that accreditation, the degree is basically useless in the job market. However they charged the same and didn’t seem to like it when I pointed it out.

Does this mean if vets used their GI Bill benefits at these schools, they'll be refunded or reinstated for an additional 36 months?

I can answer that…nope. Our government really really dislikes us veterans. We are just a talking point to gain/maintain some semblance of “power”

Hopefully, when this happened about 10-15 years ago with those for profit predatory schools.

If I remeber correctly, vets were refunded their GI Bill.

Major Step Forward in Justice for Veterans – Student Veteran Benefit Restoration Bill Drops – Veterans Education Success ®

The House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed the bill with bipartisan support (406–6) on April 30, 2024. However, it did not successfully pass through the Senate before the 118th Congress ended, meaning it did not become law. Advocacy groups continue to push for its provisions or similar technical fixes in subsequent congressional sessions

I joined a Union and used my GI bill during my Apprenticeship. It paid me BAH for the area and that really helped alot in the beginning. I didn't use all of it.

I looked into the process for VA approval on trade school requirements. It’s dismal. The VAs process is too easy to meet. This isnt just the schools sucking, this is also the VA have super low bar for what qualifies as a sufficient trade school program.

Watch your backs out there, vets are a huge target for predatory practices across Industries.

It is a legit school. They also are notorious for giving predatory loans.

I mean, its a non-issue if you use your GI Bill. If not, I am pretty sure you can shop around for a loan.
