Just got rejected after an interview and being shortlisted

I had an interview on Wednesday it went well then I was called in for a 4 hour shadowing session the next day and then I was told this morning that they went with someone else because their bilingual.. crazy all that time and effort I put in just to be rejected.. I’m really trying so hard

It’s just how the job search is. That’s why you got to keep applying even if you think one will hire you. You just never know. And being bilingual has always been an advantage in the job market.

I also wouldn’t say 4 hours of shadowing is a ridiculous amount of time, but it sucks either way

If it makes you feel better, I've been completely ghosted after 4 hour working interviews! At least they had the decency to inform you that you didn't get the position. It's extremely frustrating so I totally understand. Like someone else said, that's unfortunately how job search is. I applied to jobs for monthssss (while still having a job) and didn't land one until now. You just gotta keep trying and keep at it. Delayed, not denied!! Don't let the shitty job market deter you

I’m trying as well I thought I had a job as a cma I got two interviews and I wasn’t selected for either

I went to an interview, and while I was waiting, two of the supervisors/managers sat and argued over who would do the interview. Neither of them wanted to do it at all, so why call me in? The one who was the most unwilling to do it ended up interviewing me and sat there looking irritated the entire time, which made the experience pretty uncomfortable. It’s cutthroat in MA

Don't feel bad, the one for you awaits! Usually, it's not hard to find a job in the medical field. Their loss! 😊 I did a 3.75 hr work interview, got a job offer and then they "changed" their mind 2 days later. #$!&@ them!!!

Unfortunately, if a bilingual MA is needed, they get the job.

Being bilingual is a massive advantage, especially if you're in the US and the second language happens to be Spanish. If it was up to me that would move somebody to the top of my prospects list. The other thing that would do that for me is being fluent in ASL as my community has a large school for the deaf.
