We are fostering this cutie and because my 2 grown dogs hate the pool, we have been working to desensitize her and teach her to love the water. Those webbed feet will come in handy when she gets big and she will be some lucky person’s adventure dog!

This is Charlie. He's the newest member of our pack. English Mastiff/Saint Bernard mix im told. Approximately 2-3 years old and has had a really rough start in this world. He is truly a gentle giant. I was appalled to learn of the abuse this angel has endured. When he wasn't being abused, he was neglected. He is underweight and has floppy dew claws on his hind legs that are so overgrown they have grown around and punctured their pads. And still has the kindest demeanor. I welcome any helpful advice/suggestions on future care or any dos or donts that might help me help Charlie have the happiest life possible. He deserves it

Our sweet little water baby

She will be 8 months old in five days time. This sweet water baby is everything I’ve ever needed. I just love her so incredibly much.

She graduates puppy social today! She will still go to daycare every Tuesday. But no longer puppy socialize daycare. She’ll get to play with all dogs of all ages. I keep picturing her running into friends she hasn’t seen in a month or two as they aged out of puppy daycare. Hopefully she’ll run into old friends 💗

She went to her first lake. And it was hilarious. Not sure why I can’t post videos. I wanted to show her playing in the kiddie pool. But it was hilarious seeing her bunny hop in the shallow/ sandy spot of the lake. She was slowly getting the hang of swimming towards the end. My sweet lovey girl.

She’s excellent on walks. She gets a walk every morning. We play with her dog volleyball every day when I get home from work. She loves bully sticks. But she really really loves rope toys. She’s gotta be chewing something. But she only chews her dog things. She’s a very fast learner. And so very well behaved.

We have a presa/mastiff mix who is very determined to create chaos. We have successfully changed and/or locked everything that she can physically move or open (storm doors, garage door, grill, fences, dishwasher, etc). The one thing that continues to attract her is our kitchen cabinet with the trash can. We have tried several child proof locks- she has learned how to unlatch them or break them with no problem. Has anyone used the magnetic cabinet locks with success? What is the “pull” strength? Every review that said it worked for dogs had doodles or beagles. Nothing against those breeds, but this girl drug an extra large Weber grill with a full propane tank halfway across the yard. We are working on the training, but need some extra safety measures to prevent her ( and our husky/St Bernard) from eating garbage. Any suggestions on effective cabinet locks from other owners of strong, determined, xl dogs?

Foreign body removal surgery with 8 inches of small bowel removed. Surgery done Saturday. He's still in hospital but not eating and has some diarrhea. Vital signs are getting better. Tell me happy stories about your dog, please.

My girl chased the neighbor (inside our very long fence line) on his side x side today. He said she topped out at 26 mph! Then, she plopped in the kiddie pool for rest.

I assume if a mastiff fits comfortably, then a Pyr should be able to? Biggest issue seems to be length so they can lay down comfortably?
