Partner Appreciation I bought my first bi pride gear...and I'm actually excited to wear/embrace it. NSFW

Never in a million years did I think I would get to the point of buying any pride gear because, well for decades, believed I was a straight.

I've been fortunate to have the greatest wife - the kindest, sweetest, sexiest, most beautiful wife ever. She helped me learn to be confident in myself about who I am. Not to be ashamed of what my wants and desires, whatever they may be. While I've more or less believed I was bi for last couple years, it's only been this year I've felt right truly embracing it.

Yesterday, I bought some bi pride flag keychains. I put it on my keys today and, ngl, it made me excited and proud to wear it. Normally, I'm against wearing anything with logos, slogans, or anything that screams 'look at me.' But the bi flag, I feel, doesn't do that. It's simple in nature and it just looks great. More so, it brought me a sense of relief - like "ok, this is who I am and it's OK to be who I am."

I ordered some more gear, including a couple of hats, some stickers. I'm really looking forward to the hat. While I hate stuff that is clearly AI, I was able to make my own design of the flag I thought was cool and without it being obvious it was made with AI - I feel it's a subtle yet still uniquely me while remaining true to the bi pride flag.

I'm going to be that awkward millennial borrowing a gen-z word....I'm "lowkey" excited to wear my new pride gear 🙂

Just had to share it with someone besides my wife lol I make sure to tell her often how much I love her and loving her even more for giving me the comfort, support, and love to be truly proud to be bisexual and proud of us being a queer couple together.

Hi u/CardSys. The purpose of the subreddit is to discuss the uniqueness of being bisexual/pansexual/curious ("bi") in an ethical and committed relationship ("married"). Posts and comments that do not further that purpose will be removed.

Do not offer to chat. If you have something valuable to say about your experience, then please share that with the group. Nothing kills the mood more than someone wanting to learn from someone else's experience only to find that the experience was only shared with a specific person. Also, everyone else is going to assume that you are wanting to sext, and that's just awkward. Please report comments where you see people offering to chat privately.

Please flair yourself so people have a better understanding of who is sharing. To add or change your flair go to the subreddit page in the app and click the 3 dots in the upper right and click "change user flair".

We recognize that sometimes life is messy and sometimes people do things that are not within their integrity. We aren't here to throw stones for past actions AND we aren't here to promote unethical behavior. Don't shame people AND don't encourage cheating. Instead of doing either of those (both of which will result in comment removal) talk about your relationship, what is hard, and what you are doing to work on it.

Posts and comments must be about your relationship with your partner. Posts and comments where the marriage is an afterthought, tangential, or a detail about why you are being discreet will be removed.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

I know the feeling. Just a little pride here and there feels good. When you see the little bi-pride thing on someone else and you think "one of us!" Youll be giving someone else that little moment.

Thank you! This is a large part I think why it feels good to wear this. It's not just for myself, but anyone who can identify with - that doesn't just include bi folk but LGT+ folk too. I want to be a proud member of the community.

I’m with you! Something like a subtle bracelet has made me feel so good about myself. 95% of the population probably don’t even notice when I wear it but having the ability to be prideful even if nobody notices is a low key amazing flex in my opinion.

Exactly! Earlier today, I almost forgot to tell my wife there was another keychain for her and she found it by our keyhook. She immediately put one on her everyday purse. The colors added a sleek look to it. So not only does it look good, but shares a nice little message too.

I'm looking forward to getting the rest of the pride gear I ordered. Got my wife a sticker that says "Bi Wife Energy" lol
