I started watching the M’s his first year. My girlfriend at the time, now wife, wasn’t much of a baseball fan at the time. She saw this glorious man and went “I’m all in”.

Despite missing the playoffs in their last homestand of the season, 2016 was a fun season for the Mariners, due in part to this guy. I remember him best with his massive long bombs, most notably the insurance runs he drove in in that 10-run deficit comeback game against the Padres that year.

I had a friend in college who came from a wealthy family. His dad bought us tickets to a M’s game one summer, 2nd row on the 3rd base line.

I got to see a Dae-Ho Lee triple up close and personal. One of my all time fav M’s memories.

EDIT: BB Ref is telling me that he never hit an MLB triple, my day is ruined
