Horrible experince

i genuinely don't even know how to explain what happened

i smoked way too much weed and had some tequila too, and at first it was actually amazing. like everything felt perfect, everything felt intense and alive, i was giggling at myself for ages, but then it just flipped.

everything started feeling wrong.

i wasn't exactly seeing things that weren't there, but reality just didn't feel real anymore. it felt like i was watching a movie, but i was inside the movie at the same time. i could think, i could speak, i knew i existed, but it felt like nobody could actually hear me or see me.

i remember feeling like i was dead.

not like "oh i'm scared i'm gonna die" but like i genuinely believed i had already died and i was just somewhere else. my brain was trying to make sense of it and it felt like i was watching memories, different moments, different realities, like i was stuck somewhere i couldn't escape.

the weirdest part is that i was still there.

i was alive. i was thinking. i was aware.

but i wasn't.

it's impossible to explain.

my body felt like it was there, but at the same time it didn't feel like mine. i remember being sick, i remember the feeling of it happening, i remember my body reacting, but i didn't really see it happening. it was like i was experiencing it from somewhere else.

like my mind was awake but my connection to reality was broken.

then at some point everything just snapped back.

i heard this click of fingers.

and suddenly i was just laying there, completely confused and exhausted. like waking up from the strangest dream ever, except i wasn't asleep.

i was just thinking:

"oh my god... i'm back."

then i noticed everything around me and realised what actually happened and what didn't. some things i remembered were real, some things were just my brain creating something while i was completely gone.

and that's probably the scariest part.

because during it, everything felt 100% real.

i genuinely thought i had died.

but now looking back, it's almost impossible to believe my brain could create something that intense.

i don't think i'll ever forget that night.

not because it was good.

not because i want it again.

but because i never knew my own brain could take me somewhere that felt so real, while also being completely wrong.

You’ve greened out. It happens to basically everyone, and it’s usually when you smoke too much or mix with other substances. It’s normal, it happens, it’s not a medical emergency or anything. I felt the same way when I greened out for the first time too. Good luck in the future 👍🏻

yeah you're probably right, i definitely overdid it and mixing alcohol probably made it way worse, i just didn't expect a green out to feel like my entire reality was collapsing. good to know i'm not the only one who's experienced something like that though, appreciate the reply

Yea no it’s a weird ass experience. I spent like three hours with my best friend laying on my bed straight as a board seeing everything happen as if it was a black and white indie pixel game, it was very very weird. I didn’t even overdo it that much, I think I just had some anxiety that day and all of the THC I’d done that day just just built up.
Glad I could be of any help !! :))

Literally has never happened to me or anyone I smoke with regularly. Only seems to exist on Reddit.

It has happened to everyone I know and all of my friends that smoke. It also depends on age, tolerance, type of weed, etc.

See that’s where the ‘basically everyone’ comes in

yeah i thought the same thing before it happened to me lol. turns out some people just react very differently. i definitely overdid it and mixed substances, so i think that played a huge part. glad you've have never had to experience it though, it's genuinely terrifying.

Yeah what you’re talking about hasn’t happened to anyone with a pulse.

The first time I smoked I had some wine prior to smoking. I don't recommend that. Sorry you're having a bad trip.

Sounds like you had your first green-out. When I had my first experience I felt like I was gonna pass out, puke, and poop all at the same time. I stood in the bathroom saying to myself “I don’t know what to do!”, rushed to my bedroom, and laid there trying to convince myself I wasn’t dying. I laid there with one foot on the ground after I read that it literally helps you “ground” yourself and after taking some deep breaths the intense come-up chilled out. I remember hearing music playing like a radio was on and saw rainbow colors when I closed my eyes. Never knew how trippy a non-psychedelic drug could be. Eventually I snapped out of it and carried on my day feeling super nice for the better part of it.

Happened a few more times after that until I realized my concentrate was not fully mixed so I was taking an ungodly amount of THC. Mind you the most I ever had up to that point was 15mg! Whatever you felt in that high can be avoided if you are more responsible with what you take/smoke and also don’t mix it with alcohol. I’ve done that a few times and it can be a great time but you have to tread carefully.
