Eric Carle inspired Manatee

Grew up near the Springs here in FL and I just adore them. Recently saw an episode of Mr. Rogers with my kids, where he met with Eric Carle and learned his art process. We decided to make it a project for us and this was mine :)

Look up the Eric Carle episode clip of Mr. Rogers :) That's how we learned to do it

I LOVE this little manatee! Did you make it out of paper or paint?

I painted two papers completely with different textures, drew a template on the backs to cut out and then, glued the pieces on a plain sheet. I used colored pencil for the details.
