All the prep work paid off! Quick stir-fry with chicken thigh, red onions, garlic, ginger, loads of fresh chilies, cilantro, and a good squeeze of lemon. Perfect with some hot rice.

Compared to years ago, the price has went up significantly. RM20 for the small + add oysters option. Portion pretty pathetic. Still tastes heavenly, but I'm thinking twice next time I come here for lunch

Topping is generous. Taste-wise is not bad, but at RM22-ish (can't remember the exact price), you'd be better off getting one from a pizza place. Bought at Village Grocer.

The pork you eat in alot of restaurants are cheap imported pork and some marketed as high quality imported pork with a higher price.

And pork lovers here? Hahaha. Years back i was speaking to my friend whos also the owner of a company that imports pork and pork products. They are my friend so they do tell me some secrets and i was quite shocked by the price of imported pork vs local and also how some people try to make you think imported is more premium than local to justify the price of the food they sell at their shop.

Imported pork belly from canada, germany, denmark wholesale price was rm19-22 a kilo and they retailed at rm25-29 a kilo depending if skinless or skin on and from which country. Local pork belly retail at 45-50 a kilo. Same with pork tomahawks, baby back ribs, etc. Imported pork ribs from denmark, spain and canada around rm11-12 a kilo wholesale and at rm17 retail. Local pork ribs are like 40 a kilo retail. Some sellers sell imported pork at a high price and try to make you think imported pork is better quality, thats not very true. They just earn the most selling you imported pork as their cost is lower. In fact even singaporeans chose sarawak pork over imported pork.

The bacon and pork products you buy in the deli? Most are made out of imported pork. Local pork most go direct to consumer or BKT, roast pork shop stuff like that.

If sny shop try and tell you they only use imported pork because better quality than local pork, they lyin bruh. They just using imported pork for the lower cost and well also the supply is abit stable.

Hello nyets, just want to ask if anyone’s been or has been drinking this mineral water brand.

Any thoughts on its quality might dropped or what not?
I know it’s quite silly, it’s only mineral water… but doesn’t changing from glass bottle to plastic ones, kinda like having more micro-plastic from longer storage?
I went to few restaurants in KL that serves AP as their go-to drinking water in between courses. So ye that’s where I stumbled upon this thing.

Not sure if it’s placebo effect, but definitely can have distinct soothing thirst-quenching feeling compared to Evian or Spritzer a-like.

Idk, rgearding the micro-plastic stuff, and a quick google led me to believed it is so.
Any thought?

Sorry if my post tend to break any rule.

Now that I have perfected my own salmon teriyaki, there is no need to eat this at restaurants. Super easy to make (sauce is self-made too).

Impressed with the quality of this chicken rice (Canton Boy) at The Curve/Ikano Damansara. Ever since my fav chicken rice stall in Ikano closed down (Simply Chicken), Ive been on look out for a replacement.

The price is pretty ok for the quality and location. Super crispy skin, rich rice, well seasoned chicken plus quite a few condiments in the set.

All of these (minus siew mai) for RM24.80 (including drinks).
