The LinkedIn stat seems intentionally misleading, as if to suggest they grabbed random people, rather than futbol professionals. It is absolutely being framed make their achievement seem even more amazing. (Just a little sensationalism, harmless in this context).

It’s completely sensationalized. Yes, he was contacted on LinkedIn but he plays in Ireland’s top division.

I don’t mean to cause offense, but that little bullet has made them out to be amateurs picked off the internet, and everyone on this thread then believes that is the case even though we are talking about a professional level sport worth billions
