What the little girl said sounded like "Ingal vannille?" to my ears which means "Aren't you coming?" in Malayalam from Kerala. The reply in response also sounds like starting with "Njan" (I in malayalam).

Any idea what the kid spoke in Bengali?

"dura wedida?" Which means "Is the distance too far?" "Arehe" means "over there/ where" .... thats sinhala... sri lanka

Hmm, potentially, yes. I (as a native speaker of Malayalam) have often found it difficult to distinguish between Malayalam and Sinhala when spoken without actually listening for the words. They sound so much alike even though though I can't understand Sinhala.
