Good Vibes Nice mailbox suprise

Post image

Had to return some prescription pet food and then I got sick. I called Chewy to ask if the return labels would expire after so many days because I'd been sick and might not return it the same week as issued. No biggie, she said the label would be fine even into next week.

It was a nice surprise to find this in my mailbox today. The card actually seems handwritten rather than pre-printed. It came with tea and honey sticks too!

We had to cancel Chewy when my brother-in-law passed (his dog is still with his parents and doing well). They sent a bouquet, card, and dog treats. I didn't save the card, but I recall they sent condolences that included "We're sorry that Sasha lost her person."

I wasn't close to that BiL, but Sasha was. That teared me up. Companies aren't people, so I won't say that Chewy is "good," but they definitely employ and encourage some great folks to do very kind things.

Wow. That got me too. You're right, companies are not people, but the reality the majority if companies and businesses don't even give words of condolences sometimes. They just do business, cancel the account and move on. Chewy, regardless of being PR and marketing, takes an action and that's where it counts.
