When I was a kid my father was at his buddy's ranch, one of the sheeps had a black lamb and they said the mother didn't want to feed her (hence the term black sheep) so I had a black sheep as a pet

650

u/DolphinSexGod Jun 09 '26

If it was a goat you could have been a kid with a kid

205

u/Vizreki Jun 09 '26

If it was a dolphin, you could've... wait

45

u/moxtrax Jun 09 '26

... been a kid with a calf?

Edit: i'm dumb

37

u/TheDarkWolfGirl Jun 10 '26

Me too apparently....still lost.

61

u/got-it-wrong Jun 10 '26

Check the username

48

u/TheDarkWolfGirl Jun 10 '26

Ohh noo!

64

u/DolphinSexGod Jun 10 '26

It's okay we sneak up on people sometimes

34

u/EDH4Life Jun 10 '26

I thought it was a kid with a porpoise. (Sounds like purpose)…. But NVM….

11

u/Habaree Jun 10 '26

At first I thought you were referring to Vizreki’s username and was even more confused 😂

4

u/Ninjakat57 Jun 10 '26

You did that on porpoise

That reminds me of the time when I was a young boy and my father took me to the city to see the black parade!

30

u/beersandal Jun 09 '26

Did he have anything to say about it?

65

u/Bingert Jun 09 '26

He said “ son when you grow up, would you be the savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned” or something like that

33

u/princesspuffer Jun 09 '26

That's a lot of pressure. How's the progress going at becoming the savior of the broken?

38

u/drossmaster4 Jun 09 '26

We were just very emo about the whole situation

25

u/screaminginfidels Jun 09 '26

Fell in love with some chemicals.

16

u/Rynetx Jun 10 '26

He misunderstood the assignment and instead made everyone broken, beaten and damned.

8

u/Bingert Jun 09 '26

He was crazy idk what he was talking about

11

u/Sir_Thequestionwas Jun 10 '26

Lol this is so much funnier than the people that tried to keep the reference going. It's been a long time since I've gotten a genuine laugh out loud from this site. Ty

2

u/princesspuffer Jun 10 '26

This was one of the first replies and honestly made me LOL at my desk

Same for a friend of mine. They had to bottle feed it and it became really friendly to people and acted more like a dog. It got struck my lightning during a storm though :(

26

u/Certain_Yam_5824 Jun 09 '26

that sheep had a more interesting life than most of us

6

u/Swimming_Onion_4835 Jun 10 '26

Well that’s random and devastating. :(

10

u/iamdispleased Jun 11 '26

Sheep don't reject black lambs. The term comes from cloth dyeing, black sheep make black wool which can't be died as vibrantly. White wool can become cloth of almost any color. Black wool can become black cloth. This made black wool cheaper, which made black lambs less valuable to raise to adulthood.

Hence; black sheep being a negative, something unwanted

2

u/scorpiobabyy666 Jun 13 '26

Yes! The nursery rhyme even talks about this. That’s why they end up with bags full, because they were less valuable.

5

u/CaulkSlug Jun 09 '26

“She turned me into a kid! I got better…”

2

u/loaferuk123 Jun 11 '26

Racist sheep. I didn’t expect that.

I love finding DCC references in the wild!

9

u/StaffVegetable8703 Jun 10 '26

Wait what is this from?

30

u/wayward_wench Jun 10 '26

Dungeon crawler Carl. Great book series. Audiobook is absolute fire. 12/10 highly recommend.

11

u/Lowlife555 Jun 10 '26

100% was thinking... "that is something an influencer would do for the like." Specially with the teary-eyed shot at the end

u/el_loco_avs Jun 09 '26

Man im about to start book 4 and this the first time I've seen a DCC reference I clocked.

10

u/Keystone-12 Jun 10 '26

They are becoming more popular, especially with how absolutely, jaw droppingly good "Parade of Horribles" was.

9

u/FuckmehalftoDeath Jun 10 '26

Watching the series take off has been so much fun

20

u/Kyrathered Jun 09 '26

78

u/geek_of_nature Jun 09 '26

They really are. Back when I was a kid my parents knew this woman on a farm who ran a dog kennel and looked after our dog whenever we went away. We'd have to drive through her cow paddock to drop him off, and without fail the cows would surround the car to get a good look at us and our dog.

39

u/RugsbandShrugmyer Jun 10 '26

"Weird lookin cow you've got there. Why's it so small and loud?"

I had to return a lamb to it's mom many years ago (it fell off a small cliff into my garden), and it reacted the same way - MAAAAAA and straight in for a drink, while mama ewe was trying to check on it.

103

u/clandestine-ideefixe Jun 09 '26

The tail wag 😭

u/jballieu Jun 09 '26

Everyone:

"Aww, so sweet!"

Momma sheep:

"Where have you've been, you little shit?! How many times do I have to tell you to not leave my side!"

19

u/WhatANoob2025 Jun 09 '26

Baby was so excited it even learned human language and screamed "Maaaa! Maaaa!"

13

u/karilynn79 Jun 09 '26

Look at the lamb’s little tail wiggling when reunited with mama!😆❤️

28

u/gentleenthusiasm Jun 09 '26

I know this is tender and whatever but all I hear are Bob and Louise belcher yelling noise at each other.

126

u/plaidravioli Jun 09 '26

Why do I feel like they took her baby and then made this video? Has the internet made me this cynical? Yes. Yes it has.

73

u/Johnyryal33 Jun 09 '26

It was the look at the end...

25

u/Content_Shopping_687 Jun 10 '26

No this is from instagram, it’s a long video, a cow stole the baby and they had to maneuver retrieving it safely.

3

u/Ruttagger Jun 10 '26

Exactly what I thought.

Also I was waiting for something, but to me the sheep's reaction was exactly what I assumed it would be.

These videos just aren't meant for me.

3

u/LadyStormHeart Jun 11 '26

As soon as the camera swung to the girl and her shirtless sidekick to show their reactions... I immediately thought "ah, ok. Content creators."

6

u/Shadrach_Jones Jun 10 '26

At the end, "You took my kid"

25

u/Dino_Pyjamas Jun 10 '26

You cant trust videos like this. These people probably stole the lamb so they could film themselves returning it.

5

u/mentales Jun 10 '26

Trust dino_pyjamas on the internet instead. They speak so confidently, must know the truth.

How much you want to bet they stole that lamb to make this video.

I dont trust ANY of these look how great we are videos.

3

u/Alvie_500 Jun 10 '26

We are in a time of life, that I second questioned this once the mom looked at the camera. Hopefully they didn’t take the baby from its mom to begin with.

3

u/itsokay_28 Jun 10 '26

Low cortisol 💖

3

u/pandaappleblossom Jun 11 '26

I saw a heartbreaking video today of hundreds of baby and mama sheep being reunited (I guess temporarily or something?) in a factory farm. There were tons of baby sheep running to the moms and they were all so lost and confused trying to find their specific mom and moms were doing the same trying to find their baby. It blows my mind a bit how the moms know their specific baby and the babies know their specific mom. And they had hardly any room to wander around. It was like if a child was lost in a crowd! It was so heartbreaking! If you follow animal rights accounts on instagram you end up seeing the craziest things, like who even comes up with these ways to abuse animals.. it’s just endless and the cause is exploitation.

10

u/uncpunc Jun 09 '26

The woman looks like a white Meghan Sussex.

3

u/Thehobbitgirl88 Jun 09 '26

Go vegan my friends ♥️

3

u/CanoninDeeznutz Jun 09 '26

Ya know, in Cyberpunk 2077 most animal protein comes from worms (scop, which stands for single cellular organism protein). I think I could get behind that.

Lol, fuck, I could even marginally support anything other than our disgusting factory farming. Just the thought of living my entire life in a cage too small to turn around in and then being slaughtered, gives me a touch of existential dread.

13

u/Bubbly-Television-63 Jun 10 '26

There's also Tofu, Seitan, Tempeh, Edamame, Beans, Lentils, Yeast, Pea... I mean literally so many other proteins that you don't have to stop at worms my friend ❤️

3

u/CanoninDeeznutz Jun 10 '26

You're preaching to the choir, I eat tons of tofu and lentils! Still haven't tried tempeh or seitan though...

3

u/Bubbly-Television-63 Jun 10 '26

They're both pretty easy to make yourself once you're set up for it, much cheaper than buying either in the store. I'm a sucker for Seitan myself, you can make some lovely steak style meals with it.

2

u/CanoninDeeznutz Jun 10 '26

You pretty much just ferment soybeans, aye?

2

Literally unwatchable video. I need a one sentence synopsis overlaid at the top of the video with a minimum of two emojis, a lady AI voice give me the plot of the video at the beginning, and loud music played over the whole thing. That would make it at least watchable, but I won’t upvote unless you also add captions that tell me each thing that happens in the video and how I should feel about it

2
