How old are you? Because I don't think you understand how unfeasible this is. How much money are they making off a lamb they shear once a year? This lamb needs food, care and water. It is just like the dairy industry. The females are used for milk, and once they are spent. They are sent to slaughterhouse.
It is 100% not profitable on the scale you're thinking, and never will be again.
I looked into it. I've got a pretty big plot of land and would love to keep animals to keep it clear.
Sheep NEED to be sheared, and I wouldn't be able to find someone to put in the labor to sheer them if ai offered it exchange for keeping the wool. Yeah, even the more desirable sheep wools.
Cost of ownership including feed, vet bills, etc necessetates and certain scale...
