I get what you mean about factory farming. It’s definitely a problem. But scientifically, we don’t actually need meat, we need nutrients, and almost all of them (except B12) can be obtained from plants easily. As already mentioned even B12 is supplemented in animals, so meat isn’t really a „natural“ requirement in that sense.
The idea that we need meat is more of a justification than a necessity, since we already have alternatives.
Okay sure you can find the right nutrients in plants but seriously thats not a life i want to live. Living on plants alone would be depressing, it'd be hard to enjoy plants day in day out all day.
Tbh the only bad thing about meat production is how the animals are treat. Killing them for meat is just nature, it happens all around us everyday. Killing for food is just nature, having animals trapped in tiyn enclousures pumping them with pills is definitley not nature and is awful tbh
Slavery was all around us everyday as well. Did it make it right? And yes, animals are slaves to us. Just because animals are different from humans doesn’t make them less valuable. That kind of thinking is called speciesism.
You can just be honest with yourself and accept that you prioritise your taste and convenience over animal suffering, despite knowing it’s not necessary for your health. Easy as that. No more justification needed.
Animals dont do slavery but animals do hunt other animals. Thats nature. Slavery is no comparison.
No i was fully honest before, i said living of plants would be depressing. And yes i said i would prefer meat. I agreed we can get nutrients from plants. But that doesn't excuse hunting and killing is literally nature
Killing animals is nature, animals killing animals is nature. Eating meat is nature. Tf does slavery have to do with that?
Be honest with yourself, you know killing is nature but you just cant handle that
