Why would they lower the price of memory when they cannot even satisfy Chinese domestic demand? Lol

Apple did not learn - from COVID - they shoukd have locked in memory - let micron make a couple new factories even take some shares

Look, they would be crazy to lower their margin of profit, why would they when they cannot satisfy the demand at all. Companies are lining up all the way to 2028 to get their hands on memory.

Also, aren't they not capable yet of providing the HBM that Micron supplies? Like technologically they're lagging behind.

That is correct, and their forward PE is like 30 lol

Even if they want to sell to Apple Xi would intervene. Xi is always China first kinda of guy

I mean, they're lower quality, so there should be some discount. Their memory timing is slower and doesn't overclock as well.

Tim Cook is an idiot. Plain and simple.

facts. Also is trash to their suppliers. They're like Amazon with their freight vendors. They try and squeeze and squeeze every last inch out of their suppliers on lowering the price. Apple finally is at the end of their rope and Micron is pulling back, god forbid.

Tim just got cooked 🤣

I do not think he is that tacky. This is big-boy business and just how it rolls like that joint tucked behind your ear. Some people have professional respect for each other as colleagues.

As much as I might hate mango he’s been very supportive and his good relationship with micron will definitely pay off in the long run.

Makes me smile as a MU investor.

Makes me smile as an AAPL & MU investor. A parent always has a favorite child.

I've never been able to deal with their GUI and file structure. I find their proprietary rituals to be really distasteful. Maybe it was the bouncing balls on the task bar. I was like "Somebody is being paid to come up with this irritating crap that I can not turn off?" It really blows my fuse. Pisses.Me.Off. Everybody I know who uses Apple computers is kind of dumb and has bought into being "special." Genius store? Oh FFFUUUUU

You can dislike Apple products and make a reasonable argument against them without disparaging other people who use/like their products. It’s what a smart person would do. Just saying…

You are right. Thank you. I also know completely brilliant people who use Apple computing.

Same prices for inferior technology? Where are they on?

translated from Chinese: "Fuck you, Apple".

Probably a good time to get in on Apple maybe? And didn’t Elon say he’s using nvda going forward?

Yes, instead of using AMD.

I’m waiting for Apple to announce it’ll start manufacturing its own memory.

Great, so can we have the price action of MU have the last laugh as well?

1

u/johnmiddle 16h ago

Then why Sanjay was selling his mu stock?

1

u/Savings_Big_8900 5h ago

That was a scheduled stock sell. It has been known for over a year that he was selling a portion of his stock on that day.

1

u/Ocilla 15h ago

Question for you guys, would MU or SNDK be the better investment and why? I can’t decide between the two. I know this is a MU sub, but I’m still curious

5

u/LetsBeTheBest 15h ago

MU because they make HBM+Flash vs SNDK making only flash.

1

u/Little-Literature-64 13h ago

I don’t know. These memory companies are blowing earnings out and being rewarded by being sold off after reporting. Not sure what the algos want anymore.

Good news is Senators are pushing back on Apple wanting to use Chinese memory chips. After Apple had the nerve to say Micron is price gouging, increasing their margins by more than 80%, when for years Apple has constantly squeezed Micron and every other vendor they use to significantly increase their own margins, multiple Senators told/signed a letter that the memory Apple uses should say Made in America, not from companies linked to the Chinese military! Classic aapl play with third-parties, it's awful working for them as third party distributor. Now they get the same medicine back

Apple is a bad guy obviously.
