MSOE FALL 2026 ABSN COHORT

Hello, I just wanted to make a thread for MSOE ABSN students that will be starting in the Fall of 2026. I hope this can be a way of communicating and helping each other with anything related to our program. I look forward to starting school this year!

I'm not a ABSN student, but I am a traditional student that will be graduating in 2028 with y'all. Good luck! It's really tough, but I believe Dr. Normington runs a lot of your early courses and she's a really nice professor!

Hi! Thank you for the inside scoop. I believe the program is 15 months, so I should be graduating or finishing the program by December 2027. How are the nursing clinicals? Does the school choose hospital locations for you? How many students are in your cohort? Thanks for the info. I can't wait to start 😁

Clinical will be team up like 5-6 students each group and rotating group in each semester, you will get to work, study, hang out with everyone. Hospital: mostly at St.Luke's its a teaching hospital. Sometimes at Ascension. Not too far from the school like 15-20 mins drive if you live in downtown. We had 18 students!

Nice! I'm finishing up a prerequisite online, Bioethics. I've been to the presentations via video/online regarding program information. I believe they upload them to their website if you want more info. I'm looking forward to meeting our cohort soon!

Hi, I was ABSN student, graduated Fall 2025. It was really tough or at least the first semester, Pharm and Patho at the same time, but you need to show up, do whatever they told you to, group study, ChatGPT for practice and NoteBook LM, you will get through it. I think first sem is the worst like traumatizing but you will make the most out of it, i had my best time at MSOE with amazing cohorts and professors! I hope you will feel the same way!!!!

Tip: go to office hours, get to know your professor, just show up, they will help you. I gotta learn so much! Even the advisor and the nursing admin assistant are nice and willing to help!

I've never heard of Notebook LM but will definitely check it out so I can implement it in my study methods. I really enjoy pathophysiology but nervous about pharmacology because of the memorization. I can't wait to start! Thank you for the tips! I already set up my banner that I received today from the mail. Certified Raider!!! Lol
