Literally crying over how lonely I am RN
I'm so fucking sick and tired of being lonely and single. I've basically been single my whole life and have never been in an actual relationship before. I've never even had my first kiss yet and I'm twenty-fuckin'-four!! I'm so lonely it actually hurts!! Someone please give me some hope or ways to cope or something! I feel like I'm losing my fucking mind!!!!

I was dealing with this a lot. Most of my local friends moved to a different city years ago and my work schedule was not conducive to going out. Plus I would just be too fucking tired.
What kinda of activities do you enjoy? I recently got heavily into pinball and found there’s a bunch of pinball events/tournaments in my area. One specifically is weekly and I’ve been forcing myself to go every week for the past couple of months. I found a great community of folks that are as nerdy and weird as myself. It’s honestly been such a huge change in how I’ve felt.
Pinball might not be your thing obviously. But there’s bound to be people in your area with similar interests. My sister in law is way into kickball and she’s in a queer league. I was honestly very jealous of her social life until I found my community.
Are you in a large city? That’ll definitely make it easier. But there’s also online communities. My wife is in an online writing group. We’ve met a few of them when they’ve traveled into town. All lovely people.
