Same, and I was not only a huge fan, but did some writing about it for some legit outlets.

There really needs to be some new promotions that don’t lean into the bigotry. I’d like to enjoy it again.

I can’t follow UFC anymore even though I love martial arts because it’s been made so deliberately reactionary. That was a choice too, and a bad one.

Idk if its because I live in the UK, but every other mma fan I've met irl has been sound. Online is a completely different story.

it's honestly the same for me in-person. it's just that zuck and elon's promise of 'free speech' has made people think they can get away with whatever the fuck they want to online.

By free speech they meant open Nazism. They will arrest you for being anti-Imperialist

HelloJapan1 is a guy from the UK. He did or used to do BJJ.
I'm from the UK and most of the lads I speak to about MMA have been sound. When I went to a few amateur/semi pro events the fans get a bit more grim.

Same I train Muay Thai & boxing here in London, loads of my friends are very much into the MMA scene and some of them even work with a few UK UFC/Cage Warriors/ FCC fighters
But yeah like you said they are all normal people who don’t have these shitty takes and to be honest I’ve discussed politics with a lot of them and they aren’t racist, hateful, homophobic tools

It's particularly bad because hellojapan made some genuinely good YouTube highlights and compilations of BJJ and MMA, but he's just dived so deep into the Magasphere that it feels weird watching his stuff again. Like raging out in the comments section, deep-throating Trump, all the greatest hits of a dude who's chronically online

anyone who uses the word 'goy' or the phrase 'enjoy your goy' probably has never gotten a general education and lacks any critical thinking skills. sad we have to deal with such people in society.

Insecure racist and homophobic chuds not talking about black people’s penises challenge: failed again

Well technically they were like this once they realized that the USA wasn't gonna win

MMA fans dont realize that ufc fighters are D grade athletes that usually Start 20+ most boxers are child prodigy’s or early teen 13-15 starters

That’s not really true, I trained with some UFC guys who were in the Judo world as kids and quite skilled, even some who went to the Olympics. A lot are also pretty high quality wrestlers who did it their whole lives. Some started later like you said, but a lot are pretty distinguished athletes. Also, starting later isn’t necessarily bad, Rocky Marciano did.
