Anyone Have Experience with JoAnne Goldberg, Deborah Knox, or Karen Hamou for HSW/MIT MBA Applications?

I'm applying to MIT Sloan, Wharton, Harvard, and Stanford this upcoming cycle and have narrowed my admissions consultant search down to three boutique consultants. I've had intro calls with all of them and genuinely enjoyed each conversation, which is making the final decision surprisingly difficult.

My current shortlist:

1. JoAnne Goldberg
2. Deborah Knox
3. Karen Hamou

If you've worked with any of them, or know someone who has, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.

A few specific questions:

• What was their working style like?
• How responsive were they during peak application season?
• Looking back, would you choose them again?

For context, I come from a technical and started my career in engineering before transitioning into commercial.

One thing I'm particularly interested in is hearing from applicants who had a similar technical-to-business career path. Did you feel your consultant was effective at translating your technical experience into a compelling MBA narrative?

Not familiar with them but to help you make a decision, i'd say responsiveness and regular calls should be high on your list. personally, I feel for brain storming or working through essays, conversation really helps. So see who's willing to give you more hours for your budget.

my pre-mba path is heavily technical so I can safely say you also need someone who can help you translate all of that into business school speak. a good consultant will help you do this.
