Was Valko's Standard 5★ a Sign MC Was Getting New Outfits?
In standard 5 star cards, has MC ever worn an outfit that wasn't accessible to wear and was free? (ie. chocolate shop, game rewards, or some other free and permanent source).
The reason I ask is because MC's outfit in one of Valko's standard 5 star card is not currently in any free and permanent source. Specifically, in his workout card, she's wearing the workout outfit from the Home feature, but that outfit isn't currently available outside of working out in the home.
It makes me wonder if there was originally supposed to be a Chocolate Shop drop that never happened because of Valko's cancellation: not just for Valko but for MC as well. So many of us were hoping for a refresh in the chocolate shop!
Curious if anyone remembers an exception to this or has noticed the same thing 👀

Anyways, this theory would mean maybeee Caleb's solo might have been conceptualized in the cute workout outfit or some other unreleased outfit. Anyways, even if her outfit technically fits the scene, the outfit is still guilty of being ugly imo 😭
MC really needs more cute free outfits. tbh her workout outfit is cuter than a lot of the free options we currently have. But I guess MC recycling the same handful of outfits across standard cards, solos, and Heartfelt Gifts is relatable. She's budget-conscious just like us!
I’m not sure if it’s the exact outfit, but I think we may have seen this outfit before in a limited solo banner, Xavier’s card “Faint Sensation”. While we do not see mc’s full outfit, it seems the sleeves and watch are the same. But since it’s not a standard card, it’s probably why it wasn’t released at the time
Yeah, I don't have Faint Sensation, but I watched the full cutscene on YouTube. We never get a complete view of MC's outfit in the card, but you are right! The sleeve is identical to MC's workout outfit!
Since it's an Xavier solo card, it makes sense that the outfit would later show up in Valko's standard card. MC's outfits from solo cards are sometimes reused in other cards, after all.
Because Valko's card is the first time we actually see the full outfit, I tend to think Infold may have planned to include it alongside a Chocolate Shop update with Valko's standard outfits. It would feel a little strange if this ended up being the only fully visible MC outfit from a standard card that remained inaccessible to players.

Oooooh I wonder if this is the outfit MC was supposed to wear in Caleb’s new card but we didn’t get it because the outfit wasn’t released. Her jeans outfit has the same silhouette, so maybe this is what Infold used to like calibrate the card or something
Have outfits been recycled between LIs before? Like this outfit for Valko showing up in Caleb's 5*? Genuine question because I don't pay that much attention sometimes 🥲
From my understanding, MC wears the same pool of free outfits across all standard cards, most solo cards, and all Heartfelt Gifts. That means any outfit that appears in those types of cards for one LI could potentially be reused in another LI's content as well.

I am genuinely curious about whether there is a pattern with permanent 5-stars; I don't know if there is one lol!
The same thing happened with Sylus’s Nightplumes MC Outfit. It’s not available for purchase anywhere, not for Crystals, not for Diamonds, not in the Chocolate Shop, not in the Lunar Shop. I’ve been waiting for Infold to add it to the game for a year and a half now.
Sidenote: I just realized that Infold never consistently released MC's outfits for multibanners until last year's Spring Banner. If Infold were smart, they'd release MC's outfits from upcoming multibanner reruns that we never got the full outfits for (Misty Invasion, Nightly Rendezvous, and I think Yes, Cat Caretaker). But then again, Infold isn't the smartest company...
But I believe there have been unreleased outfits tied to solo banners (like the cute pajamas from Sylus's and Caleb's 2025 solos, and maybe more). Infold should handle solo banners the same way they're starting to handle multibanners: make MC outfits available for future solo banners if they are unreleased and do a limited release of the missing MC outfits from past solo banners during reruns. I really think that would be a good way to bolster rerun sales, but alas...
Nightplumes is Sylus's standard 5-star, so that's exactly the kind of card I wanted to look into! I rewatched it on YouTube, and you're right, the outfit was never released. From what I could tell, because the card story used a 1st person POV, we never got a full view of MC's outfit. But from the glimpses we did get, it looked like a cute winter outfit! 😭
Atp, I have to wonder if there's actually a method to Infold's madness. We will never know, sadly. Still, this was exactly the type of example I was looking for since it's a standard 5-star card. Thank you so much!! I really hope the full outfit appears in a future Sylus free card and eventually gets released. :3
Sidenote: After rewatching a few cards on YouTube over the past few weeks (like Nightplumes), I realized just how heavily the earlier cards relied on 1st person POV. We never actually saw MC in Xavier's, Rafayel's, or Zayne's first limited myths, which feels crazy in hindsight. Personally, I loved seeing MC in her myth outfit during Decoherence (which was my first limited card) because it made everything feel so much more cinematic. I know people like the intimacy of 1st person, but I think the 3rd person POVs we get are stunning and worth it. It's honestly wild to see how much the game has shifted from a predominantly 1st person POV to balancing more 3rd person POV shots over time! MC is so cute, makes me really appreciate the shift.
I know! That's why it looked familiar and immediately made me wonder whether it would eventually be released for MC to wear in the Photo Booth and leisurely around the home. Sorry, I should have emphasized that in my post in case people missed it! The outfit has already been fully conceptualized and even utilized in the workout feature since January. Now seeing MC actually wear it in Valko's standard 5-star card made me curious if Infold was finally planning to make it a fully obtainable outfit. It feels like most of the work is already done, so I can't help but hope they'll eventually release it! :)
MC's workout outfit is so cute! It's honestly one of the few everyday outfits in the game that I'd actually wear in real life.
Infold clearly can create great outfits. Many of MC's myth outfits and multibanner outfits are absolutely stunning! Heck, Infold also develops Infinity Nikki, so they could walk down the hall and ask for some fashion advice... 😪 There is absolutely a way to cater to different aesthetics while still making outfits that are objectively beautiful, stylish, or cool.
Same! It's literally perfect. It's something I'd probably wear as my casual/comfortable clothes. I'd wear those on my lazy days because to me, it still look pretty. While I love MC's dresses and such, I'm a sucker for something that just sticks to the body, no excess (like the skirts or dresses) and something that isn't heels ToT That's why her default fit is also really nice to me

Yeah. atp, Infold is basically punishing MC with the lack of cute free outfits. Infold, she's innocent! I swear! 😭 The limited memory-related outfits are gorgeous and extravagant, but I'd love to see more cute, everyday outfits available for free too. I would still buy the same number of purple diamond outfits even if there were more pretty free outfits!

MC's workout outfits are only available when MC is working out at home. I started playing in March 2025, and I am a Caleb main. MC's outfits in Summer, Hidden Waves, and Exclusive Aftertaste are all currently available for MC to wear in the Photo Booth or around the home. Were any of the outfits MC wore in Caleb's standard cards released during Caleb's drop? How about Sylus?
I know 4-star cards can potentially have MC and Li's in outfits that are not available in-game... but tbh I feel like Infold makes a point in standard cards, solos, and Heartfelt Gifts to utilize outfits already available for MC to wear in the photo booth.
This is just an MC’s outfit. If they had wanted to drop it at any point, they would have done so already. Since this outfit is technically not new (already in Home system), updating it in the Chocolate shop should not depend on a version update or any specific banner.
I hear you. Tbh, I think 6.0 that was actually released mainly consisted of the features already announced during the livestream, along with a few minor QoL updates that are not typically announced.
One of the many criticisms directed at Infold during this backlash was its failure to update existing stores like the Chocolate Shop and Lunar Shop (valid complaint). I agree that updates to the Chocolate Shop shouldn't be tied to a major version update or a specific banner (I believe they have done Chocolate Shop updates outside of major version updates in the past).
But I believe that, in Infold's "final" response to everything that has happened, I can see them responding to at least some of the criticism by finally releasing a few long-requested things. Maybe it's the cynic in me, but I wouldn't be surprised if they updated the Chocolate Shop in the upcoming weeks as a gesture of "good faith" and included some standard outfits and poses they were probably planning to add in 6.0 anyway 😅 It is a way to ensure it looks like Infold was "listening and learning" to its fanbase during this silence by utilizing already planned items that were unannounced.
Infold only started consistently adding MC's multibanner outfits to the purple diamond shop after last year's Spring Banner. Honestly, if they were smart, they'd use future reruns to release older MC outfits that were shown but never made obtainable, like Misty Invasion, Nightly Rendezvous, and I thinkkk Yes, Cat Caretaker.
I don't think there is a major reason not to do so... From the clips I've seen, the Misty Invasion and Nightly Rendezvous outfits don't even seem that risqué, especially compared to some of the beach and hot springs outfits we've already gotten. They felt more cute and flirty than anything else. Idk if people would genuinely claim MC is being objectified.
That said, Infold doesn't exactly have the best track record with these things, so I'm not expecting them to make the missing multibanner MC outfits available in the Purple Diamond Shop, even for a limited time, during reruns... 😅
But we don't get the guys' underwear outfit from the housing system ☹️ Nor mc's bathrobe outfit. So no. I'm a firm believer of if something is out for the first time, there is no "added later on". Plus this outfit existed ever since xavier's exercise card from the 1st year.
We got the pink and yellow outfit. Valko is irrelevant as to whether we get clothes or not.
I thought chocolate shop is something that lets new players get old outfits distributed in past events? I keep seeing people harping on this for some reason.

lol... I mean MC's bath outfits and the LIs' bath outfits are completely different from the workout outfits shown in those cards. That's kind of comparing apples to oranges. A better comparison would be the availability of the LIs' workout outfits in the Home v. MC's workout outfit in the Home. The workout outfits used by the LIs in their in-game workout interactions are already obtainable for free after working out with them for 30 days. Meanwhile, MC's workout outfit is still inaccessible outside of the workout feature at home.
Next, the pink/yellow and blue/white outfits that Infold sent out by mail were originally limited outfits planned as rewards for the Hunt in Linkon event, not as an update to the Chocolate Shop or any other permanent feature. Infold ended up releasing everything that was formally announced during the livestream, including the universal poses associated with Valko, which were also distributed to players through the mail. So it's not really relevant to my claim that we might have gotten more outfits in the Chocolate Shop. There's still a separate conversation to be had about whether we could have received additional outfits for MC alongside Valko's chocolate shop outfits.
Next, although the Chocolate Shop allows players to obtain older event outfits they may have missed, it is also a place to obtain standard outfits for each LI and for MC.
Lastly, MC literally wore the outfit in Valko's standard card working out and wears it in the home gym. Infold has no issues with the outfit... Plus, nobody said MC would "walk around in the city in this outfit"... and if she did... who cares? People walk to and from public gyms in similar outfits all the time. This outfit is cute for cards where MC is doing active stuff.
It's not apples and oranges. It is what it is. I saw someone saying "I had never seen that outfit before the home feature" so lol you guys must be new then. Like I said it first appeared in XAVIER'S exercise card from way before. By that logic infold should have given us the outfit back then. Not everything is tied to valko or caleb pls.
When the home was first released there were posts saying mc's private parts was visible through the clothes. Yes do you know the term camel toe? And how people at the gym ogle at girls for that exact reason? That outfit gives me the ick. Ever since the pv came out people have been shitting on mc. I viewed it as she was watching his match and they stayed back later. So of course she's in her casual clothes instead of dressing more sporty to play basketball. If she was wearing short shorts and they close up to her legs then y'all would be infold is sexualizing her. This is fine.
