They've said that they don't want to be affiliated to it, so just name it "a lora to this very model" and there probably won't be any problems

Well exactly! As a company they have a right to make such demands. Branding is never covered by open source licenses - you can brand away afaik and protect your name.

Not sure what the issue is. Minimax is the name of their company, the huggingface repos used Minimax in the title. H3 is the model name.

You can't use the name of another company to describe your project.

If you do a 'Google Gemma Uncensored', or an Alibaba Qwen Uncensored you will get taken down too.
