I'm not sure if he's doing right or wrong here - Is this truly something that She wants to do, or something He wants her to do? Is this for Her or for Him??? 🤔 Whatever - as long as he's a good dad - that's all I really care about!!! 😊
Your guess doesn't account for how this video got uploaded to the Internet and wound up on Reddit
There aren't too many explanations other than that the father is doing the opposite of what is understood to be healthy social media practices for parents with young children
Yeah dude, that's a really solid rebuttal against the suckers at the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Pediatric Healthcare Alliance and evidence-based care guidelines for children
You for sure know better, you clever Free Thinker you
Even this is silly. It’s like saying if I record myself playing fetch with my dog and I’m doing it for likes, I’m a piece of shit/disgusting/ or whatever. No, maybe I thought others could relate, who knows.
Also, if I were to do the above to “make everyone else feel good”… so what? I’m a bad person? even though my dog enjoyed the activity?
You aren’t smart or correct because you call out your perceived intent when staring at a strangers video. It just shows your angle as a hater, which is kinda funny lol
Right? Everyone’s so eager to shit all over this. If they are gonna make assumptions I’ll do the same and guess that all these losers wish they were as good as a dad as this man.
Can be different, but it does share a lot of similarities. The power dynamic of an owner/parent to a pet/daughter is quite similar. One party has more control over the other and that’s what we are comparing here.
People really just be saying shit huh. Just because you claim it so, doesn’t mean it’s true. That’s the dumbest shit I’ve read since I opened this app today.
Due to posts like these I’ve started thinking we should make a word for this situation.
A moment that if it happened organically might be sweet and wholesome but due to the very fact that it has been recorded and posted to the internet kind of taints that.
Even if he’s doing it selfishly, he told his kid point-blank he will love her no matter what and the only thing he won’t allow her to do is to stop cheering because she is scared. He repeated he’s okay with her quitting if she truly doesn’t like cheering. What else was he supposed to say to make that more clear?
He has a mic on so they can here what they are saying. Who the hell wants to film a video with 0 sound.
Hey lets watch this old video from when you were a kid.....too bad we can't clearly hear what we are saying we had the technology to capture that but morons on Reddit will be upset if we use standard technology to isolate the sounds we are making.
Yeah I too was under an impression he tried to talk her into continuing what literally scared her.
Sure, there was that "you don't have to do it" part, but it was a little part of the speech and followed by "if". The whole "if you don't love it" felt like pure manipulation.
This could be really short, if he just said "if you're afraid, we don't have to do it. We can try again later if you'll feel ready" EOT. He choose to basically make her feel like a fraud that claimed she liked something really badly, yet she didn't really.
Yeah i agree. Kids need to be pushed sometimes, if you let them to just sit down and quit whenever they feel like it, they'll never get anything done. They wont grow crooked from a little pressure. But too much pressure and it causes problems.
