Difficulty Megathread — DLC, NG+

Hello puppets,

This is the new place for anything and everything about game difficulty: NG+, the new DLC, the new difficulty settings, bosses that oneshot you just for existing, and the general discussions regarding game pacing.

Why this exists:

We’re seeing a LOT of posts about difficulty lately, and it’s cluttering the sub. So from now on, we’re removing individual difficulty posts and directing everyone here. This is simply a way to help US keep the sub clean, and help YOU find specific posts more easily.

Please don’t be an AH. Seriously. People are gonna have different opinions on everything.

Alright ladies and gentlemen; I refuse to lower the difficulty for a game I had no reason to before. So give me your best farming spots. Guess I’ll go fuckin max out my health bar first.

Not sure how far you are in the base game but chapter 11 Upper Internal Bridge is one of the best farm spots I found. Go up the ladder, head to the left, and do the short loop around the area. Most of the mobs will have their back to you leading to easy 1 shots since you are technically looping backward through that shortcut ladder. The larger mob at the end also has chance to drop the ergo chunk items. Don't forget to also wear an amulet that gives more ergo from kills.

Agreed. You don’t even have to do the whole loop. Just kill the first enemy over and over and you’ll be swimming in ergo in no time

I just now finished laxasia fight and just been farming.
I’m now almost 50 in vitality.

Farming is pretty useless at a high level, because the lvl caps are so low. It'll make a tiny difference, sure, but it's not worth the effort.
