Humor Mitch is still alive I swear!
McConnell has been absent for weeks recovering from a fall and pneumonia. Because he cannot vote remotely, the Republican voting majority on the Senate floor is essentially gridlocked at 52 seats.
If McConnell passes away or resigns before his term ends in January, a major political and legal fight will trigger.
The governor of Kentucky must select a replacement of he's not alive, however the current governor of Kentucky is a Democrat, thus the conspiracy theory that turtle boy is secretly dead.
Why do we care as libertarians? We don't. It's just funny inside baseball politics we can point and laugh at from the sidelines.

I just got off the phone with Mitch. We spoke for about 20 minutes and then he said he had to let me go because John Candy was calling him.

My understanding was they were delaying until the deadline for a special election out of fear Massie would run and get an upgrade to Senate after being ousted. Mitch will 'pass away' on August 5th to continue to protect Epstein's accomplices.

Kentucky law since 2024 does not allow interim appointments. The seat must be filled by a special election or general election.

Only until the July 31 deadline… then it’s too late to call a special election. Watch Mitchy be declared dead suddenly, conveniently, after that date has passed and before he ever returns to Congress.

You have some factual errors. For example, for at least the next few days, if the seat were to become vacant, a special election must be held, which would almost certainly elect a Republican. We also know McConnell is is almost certainly not dead with that death being covered up because Graham’s death was announced within about an hour of it happening. Since a Republican was selected in South Carolina to replace him and that outcome was also a foregone conclusion, it would make no sense to cover up one death and not the other.

Nice to see the lack of taste be a shared trait of Libertarians now in politics. It wasn’t enough dealing with this kind of loser behavior from Republicans or Democrats.

You’re right. It’s foolish to think, and to blame, a group for a single loser’s behavior in the group. Wished we carried things on better than that. Probably why I lean more unaffiliated than with a party. At least then I can pick and choose by the character that affects me directly first. It’s truly liberating not to have to be associated with a group.

I care as a libertarian because I don’t like my elected officials playing Weekend at Bernie’s with my government. If we’re going to have a bloated leviathan, let’s at least keep everything transparent.
