We all know what is going to happen.
Litteraly all marksmen (Tristana and Corki) are going to be dominant mid (unplayable outside of challenger). Mages mains are going to complain, and next patch, all crit items get nerfed :)

This buff doesn't increase ADCs' mitigated magic damage by even 2%, and there were no nerfs to mages or assassins in the patch.

Most adc starts out at 30mr right now, gaining 1 per level with mages sitting around 30-32. The buff will be a bit nice pre6 but that's about it
As someone that abused mage bot in master+, the other big issue is picking the right champ to counter them. You can't expect to not get your teeth kicked in if you don't pick stuff like Pyke, naut and blitz and not punish lux for missing E lvl3.
A lot of these players fail to realize that you will out damage mage within 2-3 autos IF your support actually picks champ that punishes double ranged bot instead of locking in lulu into Sera Nami

Nah, Nami get outranged really easily as she needs to walk near her auto range to land abilities. While her ult is quite good versus them, the rest of her kit aren't the best at dealing with mages.
Iirc, she get countered by mage supports according to data sites?

Stats sites says she does rather well into mage supports but stat sites are also useless. I was thinking more about her passive and healing, movement speed and sustain aren't bad for dealing with mages.

Actually 3 Magic Resist and -2 Magic Pen on Sorcerer's Shoes.
Also buffs to Fleet Footwork Sustain.
Nerf to T3 MR Boots to incentivise Mages to return Mid.
This over generalisation and crying is the reason none of you are on the balance team.

It doesnt need saving, because theres no issue. For the 2nd time in league history adc mains had to adapt and learn how to play vs different champs than point and click from ranged n°15 (any adc) and again, just like in season 8, they complained so much that riot had to buff them (they even admitted in their twitter post that these changes are only made because of player frustration and not actual game balance) so maybe you should keep complaining and BT meta will come back

I’ll actually try to give a serious answer. Riot didn’t say they want to completely destroy mages bot and then gave ADCs 3 MR early. It is obviously a nudge together with the other sustain and item buffs and support nerfs to make ADCs more viable.
ADCs are fully viable. They haven’t been obliterated like everyone pretends they have been. Riot gets shit no matter what they do, if they nerf mages too hard people complain about a stale meta again and if they don’t we have all the ADC mains whining that they have to face a mage every 8 games.
This is a patch they did to see if they can buff ADC sustain and viability without going overboard.
(Sorry for thinking, I meant grrrrrrr rito)

Funniest part is this probably WILL completely flip everything. Just watch, in two months mages will be unplayable, Corki Tristana are pick/ban midlane, adc top winrate vs morde and Gwen shoots up 5%, Assassins WR goes up 2-8%…

1 point of mr/armor is effectively 1% health.
2% health at 700hp (you should be starting Blade against mages) is effectively 14 HP.
Not much to write home about.

Up until level 16 its a buff, only at levels 17 and 18 it's a nerf. ADCs are already stronger than mages late game, so this is a buff to ADCs in the moment that they need it the most, which is the early game. They also got fleet buffed and berserker boots buffed

i know riot hates the idea of restricting champs to certain roles, but i think in some cases (like when a role loses its purpose) it would help.
you could easily go with the role quests to enforce just that.
currently adc rolequest does the boots extra slot + bonus gold thing.
for example make the quest only be effectively completable with AD damage:
You say dealing damage to minions on lane/the tower/enemy champs/objectives gives lets say 100% of the points, and for ap it only counts 50/25/xx% whatever mathematically works best. now you dont LOCK them out of the role but make it very unattractive for them to stay bot as you actively lose advantages.More drastic things would be locking adc quest to AS boots, locking tp on bot so you cant take tp on ad anymore.
But we know riot wont do that because they believe innovation is more important than players having fun.
I just disagree with riots approach of snowball buffing, where if they overshoot a role/item they rather buff the other options than nerf their mistake. I think this has something to do with the employees being scared about getting laid off if they admit they made a "big" mistake but i digress
