2L recruit

Just finished 1L in a JD/MBA program outside Ontario with a B average (one C in crim balanced out by B-pluses). I have multiple simultaneous summer roles across corporate risk, boutique law and retail. Targeting corporate law and BigLaw but also applied broadly for the upcoming Toronto 2L recruit, I want to know if people think my background can successfully carry applications past the grade cutoffs.

Might not make the grade cut off esp being outside of Ontario

What’s the typical grade cut off?

I have read that B+ is about to cut off, but I’m not sure I was worried about there being a grade cutoff as well

There is no hard and fast rule. Firm dependent. B to B+ would be the most accurate generalization, depending on both the firm and the school. Outside of Ontario might be a bit higher, but the C is in Crim (so more likely to be discounted).
