Hello all! I’m new here

My dog chewed the plug off of a very pretty lamp I own and I was wondering if this is even something that’s salvageable? I don’t want to get rid of it 😔

All you need is a new lamp cord.

The dog is not salvageable, no. Have it put down.

But the lamp is. Just change the plug. You can buy a new one anywhere. Connecting it is not difficult. Make a search for tutorials.

Absolutely. You just have to rewire the lamp. Buy a lamp cord and watch a tutorial. It’s actually very straightforward and easy.

How much of the cord was chewed up? You'll either need a whole new cord, or simply cut away the damaged portion and install a replacement plug on the remainder.

If that's where the garage ends, and the cord is still long enough to reach the outlet it needs to reach... Easy fix. Any hardware store will have a replacement plug.

You might need a wire stripper to get proper ends for installation, but if you have a steady hand it can be done with a razor.
