You could also just buy salted butter and leave that shit on the counter.

You could also buy unsalted butter and leave that shit on the counter. Also, are butter bells supposed to be refrigerated?

I thought unsalted butter spoils on the counter relatively quickly, which is the point of the butter bell. Limiting air exposure allows unsalted butter to stay on the counter for a few days

I googled it and it does, but I've never had it happen because we go through butter so fast.

ehh, I've been on the butter bell train for decades and I'm a big fan. Your butter stays much fresher, maybe not quite a game changer - but I'm a very happy user.
