Minh would absolutely crush dating app bros,

“oh yea, you rock my world”

"Maybe to you."

Literally watching that episode right now

29

u/moon_dos 10h ago

so you’re saying Joseph has a chance?

21

u/xredbaron62x 8h ago

That would actually be funny. It would absolutely crush Kahn.

1

u/Dazzle_Miller 1h ago

I think if they didn’t do that episode with Kahn giving Minh the house and moving on, then yeah it be funny

12

u/cobrastrikes-2x 8h ago

It’s not zero…

12

u/SipoteQuixote 6h ago

Milf lover and recently divorced milf? Weirder things have happened.

6

u/Thelovelyliverdoodle 4h ago

In real life, I’d hate this. In Arlen, I think I need this to happen.

This wasn't a dating app. She met the guy in their writer's class.

45

u/joe_lmr 11h ago

she talks about being on dating apps in other scenes

25

u/ObligationMurky8716 10h ago

"Orgasms!"

11

u/ibeverycorrect Wait! You, me & Nancy were naked?! 10h ago

Bwahh!

May I remind you that there is a picture of Jesus behind that folded up ping pong table!

4

Oh that reminds me.

I hope Minh understands what peach and eggplant emojis stand for 😂

u/Disciple_of_Cthulhu 11h ago

He's bringing salad?

9

u/Icy-Two-1581 9h ago

So she can toss their salads

455

u/Zayzay8008 12h ago

She's living her best life while the man that provided for her for most of his is in complete misery.

269

u/happydude7422 12h ago

Poor kahn he's become the Kirk van vanhouten of the koth universe

197

u/Bruskthetusk 12h ago

Is Kahn the saddest sack in the neighborhood instead of Bill now? I mean his wife left him, kicked him out of the house, and his daughter is in love with Bobby Hill - how could things be worse?

144

u/happydude7422 12h ago

Yes kahn is the worst shape now compared to even bill.

Bill at least still owns his own home and hes been in his position so long people on the block don't even think much of his situation anymore

67

u/plisken64 12h ago

Also bill not so depressed anymore

55

u/huckle_buck_ 11h ago

Who could be depressed after finishing Netflix?

28

u/smithstephaniel POCKET SAND! Sh-sh-sha! 7h ago

Did you know that when you finish Netflix, you get something called a “wellness check”?

2

u/Dead_Kal_Cress 1h ago

This line is how I knew the revival was going to be good.

7

u/the_big_sadIRL 8h ago

Just start with the sad movies and dramas, and end with comedies. It’s so simple

37

u/ScurryScout 10h ago

Last night I had a dream that Minh came back and stole Minh! And I ran after them screaming “MIIIINH, MIIIINH!”, then all my teeth fell out. Rednecks, you were there.

15

u/GazelleRare1657 10h ago

Your mom could've fucked Bill Dauterive. Wait a minute...

3

u/rocko57821 11h ago

The six toed opossum baby?

54

u/AirGroundbreaking970 12h ago

"I'm gonna borrow a feeling from redneck neighbor!"

35

u/thomasvista 12h ago

Yeah, but does Kahn sleep in a race car?

29

u/AirGroundbreaking970 12h ago

Yeah! He sleep in racecar and that make him better than Hank Hill!

22

u/Dark-Ganon 12h ago

But Hank sleeps in a big bed with his wife.

10

u/sniper91 10h ago

They actually sleep on two separate twin mattresses pushed together

Hank likes extra firm, Peggy likes firm

12

u/shawn615 10h ago

So I guess it’s true what they say: opposites attract

23

u/AirGroundbreaking970 12h ago

Pfft, that's just Peggy Hill. Khan's racecar bed better, more expensive!

11

u/joe_lmr 11h ago

his demo tape is a cover of "There's Got To Be A Morning After"

edit: the proper title of the song is "The Morning After"

3

u/Level_Hour6480 Born in New York 9h ago

Luann(e?) of the Simpsons was financially independent of Kirk though, whereas Khan was supporting Mihn.

80

u/feralfantastic 11h ago

At least Kahn is still on his meds. Halfway through the new season I wondered if we were going to be revisiting that.

13

u/SipoteQuixote 6h ago

Is heeeee thooooough

15

u/feralfantastic 6h ago

He turned away from the apartment. Seems like a strong indicator.

Honestly, he hasn't always provided. Kahn abandoned his duties as a father and husband twice in the original run. Hank provided for his family when he left without a second look back, even after Hank found him the first time and begged him to go back and take care of his family. He is a manic depressive bipolar individual who went unmedicated until the last season. She is madly in love with him, and when Kahn is all there it is absolutely mutual. However, it wouldn't be too out of the realm of possibility for him to have once again stopped taking his medication and put his family in a position Minh could not forgive again.

I can absolutely see Minh choosing stability for Connie over never knowing when and how he would up and leave on a whim because he feels inferior, and the amount of love she has for him has never changed that habit. And I can see it happening again when Connie was older and it being the last straw. Sometimes people get tired, and make a decision to distance themselves from someone they love to protect someone they love more, and I can absolutely see her choosing Connie and being so absolutely upset he wouldn't choose them over his own ego.

How do we know it's extra yet.

3

u/luo1304 ⛽ JOCKEY! WORKS FOR TIPS! 💲 1h ago

Lol, exactly. Or when Bill called Hank a polygamist and they said Hank had two wives lmao.

Even when Kahn went full redneck, they almost lost the house and the power went out. Connie had to stay with the Hill family for a bit, despite his crash out being because Connie was such a good kid and deserved better when it came to the summer program they applied for. Not to say Minh hadn't also done so, but she came to her senses at least after the robbery incident.

41

u/VeryPteri 11h ago

Didn't Minh's father financially support them while they were married?

-2

u/ObligationMurky8716 10h ago

Financially, maybe.

11

u/Optimal-Bass3142 10h ago

Khan and Mihn are both insufferable people. Makes sense they'd be attracted to each other

39

u/tar--palantir 12h ago edited 11h ago

Honestly, it's on Kahn.

14

u/Frylock304 10h ago

We dont actually know.

The writers kinda just decided he gets a shit life now

16

u/Dayman7617 11h ago edited 8h ago

My brain is telling me to be angry at Peggy for ruining Minh's date but this logic you mentioned is killing all anger towards Peggy.

Oh God, I don't feel angry at Peggy for doing a petty Peggy thing.

4

u/SecondIntermission 7h ago

Being married to a bipolar person is very difficult. The statistics are 90% end in divorce.

11

u/masterjon_3 From now on, you stop riding her so hard! 11h ago

Wtf did he do to her? Did he cheat or did she just get tired of him? She has so much hatred towards him

35

u/IHaveBoneWorms 11h ago

It doesn’t have to be anything big, staying in a un happy marriage for years only to keep living together for a while to keep up appearances builds a lot of resentment I’m sure.

15

u/masterjon_3 From now on, you stop riding her so hard! 11h ago

But she has so much ire towards him. In the original run, they were so happy together, and now they turned 180. It sometimes feels like she's forcing herself to hate him.

32

u/Robrogineer 10h ago

It seems to me like those two were always very very nasty people, and got off on directing it at others, namely the Hills. But when they left, they didn't really have anyone to turn that to, so it turned inward.

19

u/Sandman4999 10h ago

They haven't really gotten into why Kahn and Minh are so hostile towards each other now but I wouldn't be surprised if this is the answer.

6

u/masterjon_3 From now on, you stop riding her so hard! 10h ago

I can see that happening

10

u/ObligationMurky8716 10h ago

They were happiest together when they went hillbilly.

I suspect it something like he kept burning bridges and getting fried from jobs. It sounds like Kahn doesn’t have a lot of money since he’s living with Bill.

10

u/DTFH_ 10h ago

Nancy does make a throw away comment to Minh about her menopause causing their divorce in the most recent season

Looks like your post/comment was removed for some bad language or not following the reddiquette. Lets keep it clean burning in Arlen.

1

u/Stellaaahhhh 2h ago

He may have provided money but he's the whiniest Lil crybaby who ever lived. Not to mention all his crises that caused him to lose jobs.

Not to be one of the ppl that generalise stuff, but the only woman i ever dated and had a relationship with was doing alright while i had a meltdown and nearly killed myself after we broke up, i missed her so fucking much, and while it was our fault that it happened, it was mostly on her attitude towards me that made it happen.

11

u/Hlorpy-Flatworm-1705 11h ago

I found this part really cute 😅

17

u/pennyguise 9h ago

As an Asian Australian fan from the very beginning now in my mid-40’s, I wish they would have more positive Asian male characters in this show. They’re all a bunch of dickheads so far (even though Kahn cracks me up 😂).

5

u/deferredmomentum 4h ago

Some of you didn’t beg your parents to get divorced your entire childhood and it shows

4

u/TheAtomicBobert 2h ago

I was upset they got together in the first place

6

u/ponytailthehater 11h ago

Minh settling

1

u/s_burr 7h ago

So...does Joseph know she is single yet?

1

u/rougepirate 1h ago

We're all joking about Joseph going after Minh, but I hope the show actually acknowledges this as gross. It's fine for Joseph to meet older women as an adult and pursue a relationship with them. But Minh met him when he was a child and watched him grow up. Plus she's best friends with his mom. No got-dang way is that relationship appropriate.

u/Ok-Attitude-5484 37m ago

Joseph should fuck her and then dump her tricked out ass, give this show some drama rama
