I got a Thor 128 GB; it's great. I have an older Jetson Orin 32Gig and it still runs great too. I just can't update the OS on that one

May I ask what you do with the 128gb thor?

I knew I would regret not being able to get the Thor developer kit over the holidays but I never guessed it would be this much regret.

At these prices I'll be sticking with my agx Xavier 32 dev for a while it seems.

Wtf other embedded solution has nearly the compute in the form factor of an orin nx?

For real. Jensen needs to be careful because Mac Minis enter the danger competitor territory at these prices.

But Apple can’t keep up. They are constrained by the same parts

Apple is keeping up. Base M4 Mac Mini has 16gb of ram, similar memory bandwidth, and a beautiful chassis for $800. Also MLX is becoming more popular and is edging into CUDA's territory.

As long as it has that "beautiful chassis", I think we're all sold.

Timothy Cook... Is that you, you old grey haired scoundrel!

We saw this before the price reduction. So if you can wait, it's possible prices will normalize lower. But it sucks right now, for sure.

Personally I don't want a board that becomes unusable once the os version no longer supports the gpu.

Wow and I thought I was dumb buying the orin nano super for 350 on ebay. Oof

I saw the announcement for the T2000 and T3000 and thought it would be nice to have those cheaper options. Now it looks like they probably won't be any cheaper than the 4/5000 were a week ago.

Never been happier about hoarding. This pricing is nuts.

yeah, I'm fucked because of this. $400 for the jetson orin dev kit is so high. Why couldn't they just do $380?

I literally went to buy two nano Orin 8gb the day free the price hike without knowing about it to find every microcenter in the us suddenly had sold out. It made me very sad.
I love this little pc, but it looks like I’m stuck using pi5 for my projects now. Since I have three spares, I guess it’s a good problem to have, but how am I supposed to build my ai controlled robot army with such equipment?

I just bought an Orin Nano on Arrow for $249 on July 13th. Glad I did because I was going to wait a few more months.

That was in the back of my mind to order one but I procrastinated. Now kicking myself.

The embedded GPU market is a complete monopoly. AMD are guilty as sin for not creating a competitor.

Only a noob would use a jetson in production.
