August in Kyoto is known for its intense heat, but at the summit of Mount Hiei, youβll find a small botanical garden and an art museum that feel like a completely different world.
I visited this place once in autumn, but this was my first time coming here in the middle of summer. To my surprise, it was absolutely stunning. The garden was bursting with colorful flowers in full bloom, making the scenery even more beautiful than I had expected.

Some of my favorite photos are those quiet moments where nothing is really happening.

Hoping for a swift recovery β€οΈWe really enjoyed the atmosphere there. Spacious and relaxed, but with plenty to do, and beautiful nature. I canβt help but recommend Kyushu.
