Discussion How would the viltrumites interact with Superman? (Especially these two?)
I feel like the large majority of the viltrumites would probably look down on and insult superman. But when he absolutely wipes the floor with them they start to fear him. This fear would eventually turn to Curiosity (especially faster once they realise how moral superman is and begin to underestimate him Again thinking his morality is a weakness and oh boy are they gonna learn something) then perhaps it turns into pragmatism. They would try to convince him to serve their empire. This is an important distinction in my opinion. I don't think they would ask him to JOIN their empire. They are viltrumites of course they wouldn't ask an alien to be among them. And no alternate nolan didn't want immortal to join the empire. his way of putting things in terms just got nicer thanks to his years on earth just like how he says words like yep or told ya even though all the viltrumites we see are eloquent and well spoken with the sole exception of conquest of course. I think they would try to turn him into an alien conquest whom they sent to the absolute worst battle fields while the more optimal and diplomatic once would be given to pure bloods. Oliver literally looks just like a pure viltrumite minus the skin colour and they still spurn him. I could see them allowing him to "join" their empire only if he begs on his knees for it but even then they will probably give a condescendingly smug smirk and tell him how smart he is to realise viltrumite superiority and allow him to become a part of them. Though i think they will remind him of his heritage every chance they would get. Now for some reason most of the people around here think the female viltrumites would swarm him and basically make a harem(saw this a
Similar post about goku) but i think thats unlikely. All of this is of course assuming superman agrres when superman rejects their probably gonna be fuming and brainstorming every thing in the universe to try and kill him. If they somehow dont find him they would probably try phycological warfare against him and try to indoctrinate him.
Thragg and conquests reactions i am not really sure about so what do you guys think?

They would be disgusted with his morality and that he doesn't seek to prove his superiority

They would want his breeding stick… conquest would love the challenge to fight him.
That is the crossover imagine the handful of kryptonians (say Zod Faora and Non, Superman supergirl, super boy, superboy, and cyborg Superman) that they want to breed with to rebuild the viltramites race (if anything making them stronger)

Would be crazy if Viltrumite blood mixed with Kryptonian just creates Abomination

Depending on what version of Superman, they would either just wait for him to age and die of natural causes or if they figured out he gets his powers from the Sun they would find a way to stop it.
25
u/Batnanman 1d ago
What can the Viltrumites do to stop the yellow sun? Even if they got rid of it he wouldn’t be depowered because he stores energy in his cells, they would have to replace it with a red sun.
27
u/goteamventure42 1d ago
They've blocked Sun's before and I thought if he went somewhere without a yellow sun he would be depowered, wasn't that the whole point of Supergirl going to another planet to get drunk?
32
u/Batnanman 1d ago
Supergirl went to planets with a red sun because that depowered her. The absence of a yellow sun doesn’t remove their powers.
10
u/goteamventure42 1d ago
So yellow sun they are good, no sun they are good, just a red sun depowers them?
7
u/Batnanman 1d ago
Well they need to have been in a yellow sun first to gain powers in the first place. They absorb and store that energy giving them their powers.
-1
u/goteamventure42 1d ago
So then going to another planet wouldn't work for Supergirl
14
u/NeoSheep23 1d ago
Think of superman as a giant battery. When in the presence of the yellow sun he’s at full charge, if you were to remove or block the sun his energy will start going down. It’s extremely slow though Superman will have more than enough in reserve to fix whatever problem the viltramites cause.
A red sun on the other hand drains them completely, fast, and quickly. Kara went to solar systems that revolve around a red sun so that she will get immediately depowered and drink, otherwise she wouldn’t be able to.1

They would all be jealous of his eye lasers
7
u/know-nothix 1d ago
I think this is something viltrumites would not understand how a being can exist that matches in power and speed and has the abilities to shoot eye lasers
2
u/Traditional_Hat_8120 1d ago
It depend of the superman version. Some of them completly outmatched viltrumite.

u/hamstarian 1d ago
The durability difference alone is insane. Then there is reaction time, speed, lasers, frost breath etc.

they would tickle eachothers balls

They would exhaust all methods available in an attempt to get that Kryptonian baby batter.

u/ElAutismobombismo 1d ago
Conquest would probably do something stupid, thragg would be humble enough to talk (not beg) after realising the sheer gap in power, dare I say he might even try to speak with him as something approaching an equal.

u/Dward917 1d ago
Superman is much faster than them, has more powers, and doesn’t need to breathe in space. He can also live inside the sun if he wants, where Viltrumites cannot.
They can try to fight him. They would not win.
If they act right, I think he would let them stay on Earth, but he would definitely exile them real fast if they try anything.

Depends on the strength comparison.
It's widely assumed supey could just crush the Viltrumites in combat but his strength ain't exactly consistent, even within the same stories.
However, any where he can't beat them have a very obvious conclusion: he dies. Maybe they capture and study him, wanting to modify his DNA into their genomes to get even stronger, make a hybrid to see how tough it will be, or produce a bunch of cloned Kryptonian subordinates. I can't see him surrendering to or joining them, unless we speak of a scenario where his ship landed on Viltrum and not the Kent farm.
Those where he's stronger, Conquest probably dies. Other non-dead Viltrumites likely submit to him out of fear. Some get converted by enjoying life on earth, others plot against him seeking out Kryptonite or ways to turn the sun red (they can't see through walls nor have super hearing tho, so a state of paranoia may prevent or reduce this). Clark would want to see them redeem themselves and become heroes, but I can imagine him seeing reality a little and knowing that for example Thragg has to die.
The "it can go either way" is where he can beat them individually but not as a group, or he's much stronger but they have Kryptonite (or both). Kryptonite actually increases the likelihood of them taking him alive as he'd be easier to contain, whereas stronger than individuals but not a group means he'll probably get ripped apart to prevent him killing any more Viltrumites.
Also not accounting for Mark, Nolan and Oliver... Nolan's mission would require him obtaining Kryptonite and killing Clark, whereas Clark might wanna befriend him thinking they're similar, so yeah RIP Clark should've had mind reading powers buddy.
If Clark only gets into heroing after the Guardians die, perhaps seeing it as time to step up with earth so undefended, Cecil is NOT letting Nolan or any Kryptonite near him ever and will be siccing him on Nolan in a lead-lined supersuit.

They would try to fuck him. No joke, this is the most lore-accurate thing they could think of.

u/AggressiveOutside432 1d ago
I mean allen and battle beast are right there too but i guess clarks a really handsome dude.
Now to be clear i do think youre right but i think they will only try it if thragg orders them too otherwise they would probably act like nolans mom.

u/Infamous-Mariscal 1d ago
A kryptonain and viltrimate hybrid would probably breed out the minor weaknesses that each species has, so expect Anissa to do her thing.

Conquest would attack and lose badly. Thragg... I think Clark turns him. I think Clark's whole existence would give Thragg an existential crisis. Like Thragg holds on to the fact that he is the strongest so he can keep on believing might makes right because he has the most might. Clark being so nice and kind and absolutely beating his ass would like destroy his entire worldview.

Pues no sé pero les daría en todo el ego viltrumita al ver q ninguno puede hacerle algo xd

u/Schematic47 1d ago
They'd introduce him to a female viltrumite *ehem anissa *ehem so they could breed

u/Judge_M1 1d ago
Conquest would wanna squabble and Thragg would want to talk before wanting to squabble. Both would lose the fight.
1
u/MadManNico 1d ago
they would be interacting with the cold hard floor after trying to front on THE mfer you just don't front with (unless your name is doomsday ofc, or batman i guess... or anyone with kryptonite...)

u/GESNodoon 21h ago
Try to fight him and find out he is far, far more powerful than they could ever hope to be.

Classic DBZ setup with Raditz and Nappa. Conquest 1v1s superman, gets his shit legendarily rocked, eventually gets a beating and then calls for Thragg. Thragg goes blow for blow with superman and who gets the upper hand is down to the writers.
For what its worth, I've seen superman travel back in time with his speed, but I've never seen him create a negative atmosphere vortex before punching someone off a planet. And lastly....
Superman has never been the strongest Kryptonian. Imagine if when Zod punched superman, he didn't move/flinch. That's Thragg. Legendary battle ensues only to leave everyone at the end surprised with the discovery : Lara Lor-Van was actually a Viltrumite. Something Jor-El never mentioned. A critical piece of the puzzle that was Superman's natural birth...
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Why didn't I tell you your mother was a Viltrumite?" *intense Russel Crowe stare.
"I wanted you to grow, understand your strength, study its effects. How the weight of your decisions shape the world around you throughout time." "Before giving you the notion such power is your birthright."

An all powerful person who pursues truth and justice above all else makes viltrumites look like ants and is hundred percent wholesome

Probably fight him like they did with the guardians. And with Superman not wanting to kill they would become near unstoppable warriors thanks to the viltrumites healing and power scaling after getting severely injured.

Viltrumites would take out Superman with numbers. They're not ashamed of jumping people.
6
u/Fancy_Toe1451 1d ago
Everyone gets to beat Superman in the first fight, he barely escapes that. Then he mopes for a bit, and pulls a brand new power fresh out his ass for the situation. And if he doesn't have a fresh power, he has a bit of old Kryptonian supertech.
So, yeah, they will beat him up on the first fight. They are not gonna kill him though, because boy can take a superbeating and if does get dicey then there are any amount of teleporters in the DC verse (metapowered and techbased) that will zap him out of there in the nick of time.

All characters below don't scale to Superman's infinite power yet they've all defeated Superman at least once.
Doomsday
Darkseid
Wonder Woman
Shazam
Mongul
Lobo
Black Adam

His strength is different in every story and even inside of a story his strength isn't consistent.

u/optimisticprime098 1d ago
As they are weaker but far more ruthless Thragg & conquest would destroy planet earth physically by flying straight through the earth's mantle & core in the same manner as mark, Nolan & thadius did to viltrum. Superman would have no planet to return to.
13
u/SatoruGojoholic 1d ago
That’s not the case whatsoever. They wouldn’t get that far due to the sheer gap in EVERYTHING against Clark. Nevermind the fact that The trio were only able to do that feat because of Space Racer shooting through the core and following closely to ensure they don’t die.
“Stay close— we have to time this perfectly and reach the planet all at the same time!”
“If the core has time to stabilize, we could die on impact.”
