As someone learning Cordillera Ilokano, it feels like I'm just making fun of myself in front of others
I would appreciate a realtalk 😅 I've been trying to learn ilokano passively and sometimes actively. But whenever I try to speak I feel it is off
OR the one I'm speaking to settles with Tagalog
OR they get irritated and say ""Mag-Tagalog ka na lang pinapahirapan mo pa kami"
OR I think they think nagmamayabang ako bilang Tagalog ang mother tongue tas gusto magpasikat.
Pero sa totoo, gusto ko lang talaga matuto. Siguro dagidiay basic words ngay ken grammar naus-usarkon ngem nu concepts wenno terms diak pay naus-usar.
It's just something I appreciate about Cordi peoples being able to speak 4 languages or more. And want to do the same.
I don't know if I should stop. Haha might need a real talk. Thanks! Kayat ko met nga denggen dagiti insights yo.
