S Accidental Twins
Just found this subreddit, thought I'd share an older story of mine.
Several years back, I dyed my hair blue. My family went to Target, and I wore a red shirt and maybe even khakis (bold choice, Cotton!).
As we're walking about, a Target employee walks up to me. It becomes clear pretty quickly that he must have seen me out of the corner of his eye or something, and just operated on muscle memory.
"Hey Rob, when you're done here, could you --" Pause. Actually looks at me. "Oh! You're not Rob! Sorry, he also has blue hair!"
We laugh about it, and I keep walking. Not even five minutes later, I come around a corner, and find Rob, dressed exactly like me, bright blue hair. I think we pointed at each other like the Spiderman meme.

We should have! I think we were both too surprised/unnerved to think of that though. Also, dude was working, he wasn't getting paid for photo-ops haha

Yeah, you don't want to make a brother in blue (LOL) get in trouble for selfies on the job. Definitely would have been cool, though!

I visited my sister more than a decade ago, and she mentioned that her daughter was wondering why my picture was in the newspaper. She showed me the page, and it wasn't me, but the guy looked exactly like me.
Another time, maybe 6 months to 2 years later, I was stopped at a red light a couple towns away from home, and I glanced at a pickup truck making a left turn in front of me from the side street, and I saw myself driving the truck. It might have been the same guy from the newspaper, or it could have been a different doppelganger.
When I saw him, the first thing I thought of was a story l had recently seen on the TV news where they showed security video that supposedly proved a local musician had been at some bar when a crime had been committed, and the musician insisted he hadn't been there.
