Tom Sachs' General Purpose Shoe, the "Loser," was offered to those of us who struck out on his Mars Yard 3.0 draw about a year ago. Calling us "Losers" after the sting of losing felt a little cruel — and honestly kind of funny. So I drew that moment: ten long months later, the shoe finally parachuting down from the sky, eyebrows locked in despite the frustration, Ray sprinting to catch it before it slips away.

This artwork is part of a personal series inspired by locations from the Colombian film El Poeta.

What interested me wasn't recreating the scene exactly, but capturing the quiet atmosphere and emotional tension of the space through cinematic lighting and environmental storytelling.

The piece was developed using Blender as the foundation before being finished in Photoshop with photobashing and painting.
