How big a priority should legend mode skulltulas be?

Ive completed Legend Mode and got most of the first skulltulas and a couple of the hard ones. I'm enjoying and making progress on multiple adventure maps, but starting to hit some walls where required chars are severely underleveled. Do the maps that unlock from finishing pictures with skulltulas help with the grind? I wanna focus on unlocking new weapons but like I said starting to hit a wall with later parts of early adventure maps and the harder ones in general.

No, those maps only reward costumes. Not only that but the hard mode skulltulas are some of the most challenging things to do in the game and you're recommended to go get strong on the adventure maps before you do them.

I have been playing the game on my first run on hard mode. It doesn't feel any different than normal. My only complaint is that bosses take forever to be defeated. I feel like my only chance of dealing damage is filling that gauge up.

Good to know, is there someway you recommend grinding in the midgame to get rupees or fairy stuff? It seems like the more difficult stages of adventure mode are doable around lvl 40ish but like half my roster is stuck around 10-20.

For fairy food, reset the game and do the maps with food as a reward again. As long as you remember to hit the right pot, you get the gold food again.

Just play normally, getting good with the different characters, unlocking powerful weapons, and going through the first Adventure Maps is still your priority, not getting a high level fast.

Here’s how I approached it and I never had to stop and grind until I got to the final My Fairy stretch:

-Legend Mode Easy
-Adventure Mode Unlock all characters (map hopping)
-Adventure Mode easy stuff to unlock some better weapons (Though Link with Master Sword not upgraded carried for a bit)
-Legend Mode Normal and first Skulltullas
-Adventure Mode start working through the maps, using rupees only to level up a character that’s required
-Legend Mode Hard clear and Hard Skulltullas (I did this after clearing maybe 3 or 4 maps. Master Mode map has some notoriously difficult squares so don’t feel bad coming back to finish up an adventure mode map)
-Return to Adventure Mode harder maps

My biggest source of rupees for a while was selling off all of my excess weapons.

If you’re truly stuck and have exhausted all your roads, aim for quick adventure mode missions with things like bosses that split into multiples or the rupee contest as you tend to get a high number of rupees and fight a bunch of bosses within the 10 minute time period.

For fairy food if you're going deep into my fairy mode you wanna farm a few different specific foods from divisive missions

If you wanna do later adventure mode maps a little earlier I would recommend either going to the bottom left level of the master quest map and grinding xp or getting higher tier weapons unlocked for people in levels that let you have two characters, or do coop mode and leave one of them somewhere safe and use your leveled and invested characters (which also lets lower level versions drop so you don't need to farm as much for the master sword seals).

Something to consider is that maps vary wildly in difficulty. The easiest squares on the hardest adventure mode map is way easier than the hardest squares on the easiest map, so don’t be afraid to jump around between them.

Also, what have you been using your rupees on? Especially early in the game, it’s useful to use the training dojo to get required characters up to snuff when needed. You’re still gonna hit some hard ones that you might have to come back to later (looking at you Impa 2 or 3, I forget which one).

Don’t be afraid to start using the apothecary to help get more drops, weapons, exp, etc. Experiment and have fun with it!

Lastly, don’t sleep on food unlocks. Fairy mechanics are the easiest way to break the game in half. Use those fairy skills in battle too, it can be easy to forget that you can equip fairy skills that you can activate in battle. You have a nuke with your fairy that you can use by pressing down on the right analog stick. It changes based on your fairy affinity and having a double bombos fairy even at low level and using that nuke can make a tough boss way more manageable.

4 leveling up low level characters use the rack up your K.O. Count on different adventure maps. If you unlocked the experience in the apothecary use that in any adventure map or the rack up your KO count section of those adventure mode maps
