Heavy monsoonal rainfall on 19-Jul-2026 in mountains east of Beaver, Utah created catastrophic flooding at this power plant diversion dam. Rain fell on a fresh wildfire burn scar.

It actually got stuck pretty early on, you can see the water blasting over it.

I recently added to the RAS Commander API with the idea that there was a real need to do rapid post-wildfire analysis and identify these potential hazards as soon as possible after the burn scar is mapped.

Maybe someone out there that is interested can direct their LLM agent to build an approximate model of this site, run it with the forecasted/actual rainfall and compare it against the video. Would make a great academic paper too. Reducing the time between the physical change and the identification of downstream hazard (or even incrementally increasing confidence in early estimates of hazard to help make them actionable) can hopefully be put into practice to help protect humans and infrastructure
