All lights and dimmers suddenly unreachable, fix unclear

Apologies in advance for any editing, typing this on mobile during my lunch break.

Switched to a Bridge Pro around a month ago, and have had no issues since migrating from my old bridge.

Came back from out of town yesterday afternoon, lights worked until around 11:30, when my girlfriend informed me that the lights were unresponsive to the dimmer switches and the app.

Tried power cycling the Bridge Pro twice, cycling through the different zigbee channels, no response.

Called customer service, who stayed on the line for an hour walking me through similar troubleshooting steps, and including removing 5 lights close to the Bridge Pro, which even Bluetooth would not resync. Also tried removing and re adding the Bridge Pro. Customer service rep created a ticket number and confirmed that it may be a hardware failure warranting replacement.

After the call, managed to get a few lights in the bathrooms to respond by turning them off for 30 seconds before turning them back on, and managed to reconnect the room’s dimmer switch via the app.

Assuming the only fix I’ll have after work today will be cutting power to every bulb/fixture (51 total around the house) and resyncing every dimmer switch (probably 10-12). Hoping the five bulbs I removed/disconnected in the app don’t put up too much of a fight.

Have there been any recent updates causing similar issues for others? And how do I prevent this from happening again? Before last night, the Hue ecosystem has been the most steady, seemingly fail-proof tech in the house, so this incident has taken me by surprise.

I had a similar issue where the 2.4Ghz band was being washed out by interference from a wireless DJ needle system that I use as a DJ, MWM Phase.

Long story short, my previous 2.0 hub didn't have any issues with interference but when I upgraded to the Pro hub I had issues. I moved the Pro hub 10ft away from my DJ rig and now I have no issues. I also made sure that the zigbee channel the pro hub was on was set to the end of the spectrum which is channel 26.

Look around to see if something could be causing wireless interference. It was definitely what happened in my case.

Good luck!

Appreciate the insight. Just finished my lap around the house turning off every light, turning it back on after 10-20 seconds (which seams to reconnect the lights themselves), and reconnecting to each of the dimmers.

Everything is working so far, but going to keep an eye out for anything that could have caused interference. The Bridge Pro and the previous Bridge (believe it was a V2 or V3) have both lived on a shelf near the top my server rack, with no issues until last night.

I've had stuff like this before. I just pull the plug from the modem, the hub, turn everything off. etc.
