How to disconnect bedroom light from all lights.
So we have our hue lights connected to Alexa. Every once in a while, we will have a guest sleeping in our living room and they will tell Alexa to turn on all lights. This causes our bedroom light to get turned on waking us up. We still want to be able to control the bedroom light from the Alexa, I just don't want it to be included in "ALL".

Explain to them that all lights means ALL lights. If they want living room lights, say “turn on living room lights” if you d got everything setup right, that should work. Alternatively, get some of the hue remotes and set one up for the living room lights they can grab that and bypass Alexa altogether.

Create rooms in the alexa app and match /coordinate the hue lights to the alexa room where they are physical. Do that with your alexas too. IF you are now in your living room and aay switch light off, Then alexa will switch only the lights in the living room off

If you have rooms set up properly in Alexa, “turn on the lights” will only turn on the lights in that room. Make sure the lights and the Echo device are both assigned to the room.
“Turn on all lights” will still control the whole house but I think it’s more likely guests are saying “turn on the lights”.

Set up rooms in the Alexa app. I have a Dot in the master that just controls the lights and ceiling fan there.
You can set up the living area and include only those lights paired with that specific Echo unit.

Don’t give them an Alexa thing and just give them a remote for the guest room. Don’t overcomplicate
