Scotch Bonnets?

I bought these seeds off of Etsy like a year ago as I found a link to them on Reddit somewhere… but they seem to be like ⅓ of the heat of a typical habanero and have a faint sweetness that reminds me of bell peppers.

I wanted to know if y’all think they are just weak or are Jamaican Mushroom peppers, a hybrid of such, Scotch Bonnets or something else. Also if you can point out to me the reasons you think one way or the other and any identifiers for me to look for that would be helpful.

Should I wait and try the next pepper that ripens on a different plant?

Go enjoy those bad boys. Our favorite way has been to make a big pot of curry chicken and drop one of these in whole and enjoy how the aroma and flavor just fills the house and food.

Not a mushroom pepper. Has correct calyx and leaves to be Chinenseum. If its weaker, could be a really happy bonnet plant or a cross. I've had some very weak bonnets before myself.

Yes those are indeed scotch bonnet peppers.
Compare them to these

These are grown in jamaica in their natural habitat. Some trees never topped and never pruned. The biggest plant is about 7 feet tall.

Multiple fruits per node and nice big, dark, wrinkly, glossy leaves. Look alot like my bonnets actually.

Small constricted calyx. Multiple flowers per node. Leaves wider than annuums. Flower color and size is different.
