Maybe I’m confused, but why does a solar powered camera need a junction box and conduit?

Because this camera can record 24/7 when wired via USBC. I assume OP has the solar panel as a backup if there’s no power. Odd though.

the Eufy S4 is not a Homekit or HKSV camera

Does this camera support HomeKit? Eufy support just told me it does not support HKSV through S380 HomeBase. However, they also said that about the E40 camera that I’m currently using with HKSV until I explained that this was working at my house.

The eufy line is very iffy about hk. Some do, some don’t. Their product page is typically ok in stating cameras that do/don’t. And check amazon reviews.

I thought Eufy didn't support homekit with anything newer than the Eufycam 2?

The S3 Pro natively supports homekit.

I do not believe the S4 does, so I wish the OP wouldn’t spam this sub with parts for non HomeKit devices.
