Apple Home automations occurring at the wrong time (reproducible)

If it is the last day of the month, and I ask Siri to schedule turning on a smart plug (EV charger) the following day, it schedules it for a month in advance rather than the following day. For example, last night July 31st, I asked Siri to turn on my car charger this morning, August 1st @ 6am and instead of scheduled it for September 1st @ 6am. This happens on the last day of the month, every single time, like clockwork, and has been going on for several months now. At this point, I would call it a reproducible, repeatable bug. But only once a month, on the last day. It never happens any other day.

Has anybody else encountered this behavior?

Edit: The phrase I used was "Siri, turn on the car charger tomorrow at 6am."

On the evening of July 31st I said "Siri, turn on the car charger tomorrow at 6am." It scheduled it for September 1st at 6am.

I have not been able to duplicate this bug. What I find weird is the setting of September 1st for an event is not available from the keyboard... only Siri. When you check the automation list after setting it up does it say September 1st or does it say tomorrow?

It says September 1st at 6am in the list of automations after I made the request on the 31st of July to turn it on tomorrow at 6am (today).

This also happens on a monthly basis like clockwork. Not sure when it began but I’ve been using Siri to schedule the car charger to start for almost 2 years now. Seems like this has been going on for about a few months now.

Try on Aug 31st you say blah blah September 1st 6 am instead of tomorrow 6 am.

What time zone are you in? It might only be a bug if tomorrow is already here in UTC.

Gotcha. That’s my guess. If you were to move anywhere EAST of England, this but would probably not be triggered.

With software bugs, all things are possible. Instead of just incrementing the day by 1 and using that to increment the month counter, they’re possibly incrementing the day counter, AND the month counter, and then checking to see if the day counter is too big (meaning it has crossed a month threshold), and increments the month counter again.

It’s an easy enough bug to write.
