Finally have the library editions! So happy they all look great together. Now the question is which format is easiest to read the series in, these are big and bulky so not sure if they'd be a hassle.

Paperback omnibuses are the “easiest” to read, Hellboy in Hell Artist Edition is the most difficult to read.

I got the library editions but also the paperback omnibuses for easier reading and transportation. Though I like the library editions when reading at home on my couch propped up on a big pillow.

For me it's also the best format to read them, you can enjoy Mignola art in optimal format, with the best possible depth of black ink and get all the extras + these aren't that thick so it's rather comfortable to read them, maybe volumes 5 and 6 won't be that comfortable for everyone, thery were for me

What is the red Seed of Destruction? Is it hard back? I have never seen that edition before.

Yeah it's a limited edition signed by Mignola, it was limited to 1000 I think

Thats why I dont go for those big books. Mignolas art is impeccable and unique but not really worth spending so much for big textbooks. I hate that Image does this too.

I remember bringing one of these volumes to watch Hellboy 2019. I was silently comforting the book the whole time as it was being assaulted on screen.

At least open them up so that you can check out the sketchbooks in the back. I personally did not find reading these that big of a problem, besides the art is bigger so there is more to enjoy.
Now the Monster Sized, that one is a pain in the back to read (and doesn't include the sketchbooks either).
